Step by Step

Experience the mystery of Neolithic rituals on this tour to the megalithic monuments of Stonehenge, the village of Avebury and its stone circle, the largest in the world, and the West Kennet Long Barrow. All of these are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

On this approximately 10-hour tour, your air-conditioned coach will take you to these sites accompanied by a guide who will provide on-board commentary throughout. You will visit Stonehenge, the 5,000 year old prehistoric megalithic sun worship complex, including entry to the Visitor Centre.

You will arrive at Avebury which lies within a Neolithic stone circle. In the surrounding area you will see several funerary and religious monuments that were used in different rites. The guide will tell you interesting facts about the village and then you can explore it on your own. You will also visit the great stone circle, the largest in the world.

West Kennet Long Barrow is located in the same county of Wiltshire, just 2 kilometres from Avebury. Here you will visit its famous burial mound: a Neolithic tomb buried in a small hill. From here you can also see Silbury Hill, another important Neolithic monument.

Definitely the atmosphere provided by our guide, giving us historical and interesting details that were not exactly part of the service ended up making this trip the best of all.

It was pretty good, the vehicle had faulty air conditioning at the time, but the trip was great.
