Step by Step

Embark on one of the most popular tours from London: Windsor Castle, the royal residence and home to over 1,000 years of history. This experience is also available in a combined option that includes the Tower of London for those who want to extend their royal day out.

On arrival, you'll pick up your multi-lingual multimedia guide and begin your tour inside the castle. Here you will tour the State Apartments, used for official receptions and decorated with priceless works of art.

During the tour, you'll see the iconic Queen Mary's Dolls' House, a 1:12 scale dolls' house built in 1924 with an absolutely stunning level of detail. If the timing is right, you can also enjoy the Changing of the Guard (not guaranteed), a military tradition accompanied by a regimental band.

You'll visit the impressive St George's Chapel, a Gothic church that houses royal tombs and the seat of the Order of the Garter, as well as the resting place of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.

After exploring the castle, you'll have time to wander around the surrounding area. You can walk the famous Long Walk, discover the huge Windsor Great Park or stop off at the historic Crooked House of Windsor. If you prefer to stay within the grounds, the Undercroft Café offers local produce in an exceptional setting.
