Walk through the heart of Las Vegas. Along Las Vegas Boulevard, better known as the Strip, you'll find all the entertainment you can imagine and more. With its imposing hotels and casinos, restaurants, bars, this is the place where it all happens in the city of sin.

Just walking and touring its themed hotels (which you can enter even if you are not staying in them) will leave you speechless. They are true wonders, built to dazzle everyone who visits them. At the New York New York hotel and casino you can enjoy a recreation of the New York skyline along with an incredible roller coaster that runs along its facade at full speed.

At the Paris hotel and casino you can enjoy an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower, and even climb to the top to get the best views of Las Vegas. Inside you can see an authentic Parisian sky 24 hours a day.

At The Venetian hotel and casino, as its name suggests, you will find a replica of the Venetian canals, complete with gondoliers and everything!

Another must-do on this amazing street is to take the iconic picture next to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada sign. A classic of every visit to the city, as well as witnessing the dancing water show at the Bellagio Hotel. You probably remember it from the movie Ocean's Eleven. This show is free and runs all day and night, so you can't miss it.

Travel back to the golden age of Las Vegas on one of its most retro-charming streets. Fremont Street is like the backyard of the Strip, where some of the hotels that gave birth to the city of Las Vegas are located.

Much of the street is under roof, and at night this is transformed into the world's largest screen, where you can enjoy the Fremont Experience. Live music and entertainment for the whole family. Also along the street you will find several musicians and street shows.

Here you can also enjoy the Neon Museum, with some of the most classic signs of the city, as well as the incredible Slotzilla, a giant slot machine from which you can cross the sky of Fremont at full speed over the heads of the crowd.

A word of advice, on Fremont Street you can also find very good dining options for much less than what you pay on the Strip.

4. Try your luck at the casinos

But not everything in the city of sin is casinos and neon lights, there are also incredible places just minutes away from all the hustle and bustle. One of the most recommended excursions from Las Vegas is to the Hoover Dam, one of the most amazing engineering works of Nevada and Arizona, which provides energy to the entire city of Las Vegas and also helps control and prevent flooding, product of the Colorado River floods.

Located just 48 kilometers southeast of Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam rises in the middle of the desert. It is named after the 31st President of the United States, Herbert Hoover, who was one of the main promoters at the time of its construction. When the work was completed in 1936, the dam was the largest in the world. Today it has been declared a National Historic Landmark, and is the largest in the country, measuring 380 meters long at its concrete arch and 221 meters high.

The Hoover was built in only 5 years, during the Great Depression, and thanks to it the artificial Lake Mead was born. On a trip to the Hoover Dam from Las Vegas you will be able to see its interior, with its large turbines spinning non-stop, and you can, in turn, enjoy the majestic views from the top. Not for nothing is this dam one of the most visited dams in the world.
