At this time there are no guided tours of the Titanic Exhibit in Las Vegas and, as a personal opinion, I feel that they are not necessary either.

As you will notice on your visit, the tour experience is very well organized. Each object, model or representation is accompanied with the necessary information so that you can perfectly understand the history of the Titanic.

However, for users looking for a fully immersive experience, the organizers of the Titanic Exhibit make available an additional audio guide for a cost of only 5€. You can request information from the person in charge of validating your access once you arrive at the exhibition.

How to get tickets for the Titanic Exhibition at the box office

Getting tickets for the Titanic Exhibition at the ticket office is very simple as this point of sale is located near the main entrance door. Unless you are visiting the city during peak tourist months, the lines are usually not very long, although you will almost always have to wait a bit.

If your stay in the city contemplates a short trip, 3 days in Las Vegas or so, my recommendation is not to waste a single second and buy your tickets in advance, because in addition to saving you the line, the tickets on the web cost practically the same as buying them at the box office.

Are tickets to the Titanic Exhibition included in any of the city's sightseeing passes?

Yes, one of the most comprehensive passes in the city is The Vegas Sightseeing Pass which includes up to 80 attractions in the city, including the Titanic Exhibition at the Luxor Hotel.

The price of the Sightseeing Pass ranges from 100 euros, a standard pass for 2 days in Las Vegas, to 230 euros for a pass valid for 5 days in the city. Children under 12 years of age can purchase passes at a reduced price.

Like so many other offers in the city, this product is really interesting and allows the traveler to save money while exploring the city.

However, to really take advantage of the facilities offered by this type of product it is necessary to structure in detail every aspect of the itinerary and try to visit between 2 or 3 attractions each day. Otherwise, the money spent will not pay off.

The room where the Titanic Exhibit is presented in Las Vegas, is located on the Atrium floor of the Luxor Hotel, one of the largest and most luxurious in the city. It's a good idea to have a mapof the hotel and its layout handy to help you find your way around.

Now, if you are outside the area known as Las Vegas Boulevard, you should know that you have different transportation options to get to Luxor Hotel. Here are my favorites.

Tourist bus

The best way to get to know the city when you visit it for the first time is aboard the Las Vegas tourist bus. It has different routes that take visitors through the most emblematic places and monuments.

To get to the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor Hotel and Casino using this means of transportation, you must take the red line and get off at stop 8, named "Excalibur Hotel".

Consider also purchasing the night bus pass to admire the marvelous lights of Las Vegas Boulevard at night, a breathtaking spectacle!

Public transportation in the city

The public bus service in the city of Las Vegas is excellent , inexpensive and very punctual. If you need to travel long distances, such as going to the Fremont area, don't hesitate for a second!

To get to the Luxor Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, you have the following bus routes.

  • Routes: line 119; line 201 and line CX.
  • Stops: The "Nb Las Vegas at Mgm/Showcase Mall" stop is a 6-minute walk away; the "Sb Las Vegas at Luxor" stop is an 8-minute walk away and the "Wb Tropicana" stop is a 10-minute walk away.

Take a cab in Las Vegas.

Another transportation alternative that works very well in the city is the cab service. Organized, friendly and extremely helpful, you can always ask the driver for recommendations.

However, there is no denying that cabs in this city are expensive, so if you are on a tight budget consider exploring other alternatives.

Is it advisable to go to the Titanic Exhibit in Las Vegas with children?

On whether to attend the Titanic Exhibit with children, the answer is: it depends. While it is true that the exhibit is overwhelming and interesting, it is also true that younger children may not understand the scope and relevance of this historical event.

Also, all the texts are in English and if your child is very young or does not know the language, it is very possible that he/she will not really understand what he/she is observing and will get bored.

If you are going to Las Vegas with children, it might be more convenient to go to other museums, such as the Natural History Museum, as it is usually more interesting for them.

On the other side of the coin, take into consideration if your children like museums and it is a family activity that you do together often. In this case they should not miss it!

There are interactive parts of the exhibit that kids will certainly enjoy, as well as impressive models of the Titanic. Just remember that all descriptions are in English.

When visiting the Titanic Exhibit in Las Vegas you should be prepared not only for a collection of artifacts, but for a first-rate interactive experience.

The attraction is truly comprehensive and, as much as I love James Cameron's film adaptation, the information you get during the tour doesn't compare in the slightest.

Full-scale recreation of the sleeping quarters.

The creators of the Titanic experience recreated the ship's sleeping quarters down to the smallest detail, from the spacious first class passenger quarters to the third class passenger sleeping quarters, where one sleeping room served 4 crew members.

Cabin simulation

Inside a cabin, what the 2223 crew members experienced that fateful night is recreated, with precise air temperature. There is also a giant piece of iceberg that gives you a very close idea of the agonizing cold that the victims of the tragedy suffered that night.

The Big Piece

A gigantic piece of the Titanic's deck is in this exhibit and is a favorite part of most visitors.

The reason is simple: no matter how or how many times you have imagined the ship in your mind, it is much more impressive live.

Closing the exhibit.

When you arrive at the exhibit you are assigned a boarding pass with the name and information of a real passenger who was on the ship that night. At the end of the tour you will find a mural that provides accurate information about the fate of each of the crew members. Did your crew member survive or die that night in the Atlantic?

How much time do you need to visit the Titanic Exhibit in Las Vegas?

It is an extremely interesting exhibit, with many eye-catching objects to see and admire. I recommend to my friends to set aside about two hours to go through each of the parts and get fully involved in the experience.

Another excellent alternative to save time is to combine your visit to the Titanic Exhibit with the Bodies Exhibition, an impressive exhibition about the human body and the impressive systems that make it up.

Real dissected and perfectly preserved bodies will teach you everything you need to know about anatomy and health. This exhibit is located in the same hotel as the Titanic Exhibit, so you can see both in one visit.

The Titanic Exhibit is among the best museums in Las Vegas. It is open to the public from 11 a.m. and can be visited every day of the year, including weekends and national holidays.

However, the exhibit's closing hours vary throughout the months. I recommend my traveling friends check this information the week before the trip for greater certainty.

During the summer months in Las Vegas the exhibit is generally open to the public until 8pm, with the last entry allowed at 7pm.

During the fall months, specifically from September to November, the hours are reduced to 6 pm (last entry allowed at 5 pm).

For the winter months the regular opening hours return to 8 pm, with last admission at 7 pm.

Tips for visiting the Titanic Exhibit in Las Vegas

Hoping you enjoy your visit to the Exhibit to the fullest, here are a few tips that I hope you will find useful.

Make the most of your visit to the Luxor

If you haven't heard by now, The Luxor Hotel and Casino is one of the most luxurious and impressive facilities on Las Vegas Boulevard: an impressive building in the shape of an Egyptian pyramid with its own Sphinx on the main façade.

Take advantage of your visit to the exhibit to tour the Luxor's social areas, including its luxurious casino, food court and central courtyards.

Pay attention to closing times

The last access to the exhibition is one hour before the closing time established for the season, but my recommendation is to allocate an average of 2 hours to enjoy all parts of the museum.

It is very important to pay attention to the closing time each day and arrive with enough time especially if you are in a remote area of the city.

Respect the rules

There are basic rules that you must follow in this exhibition that are not very different from other museums you have visited before. Among them are the prohibition of smoking inside the room and that it is forbidden to enter with large bags, suitcases or backpacks.

Finally, photography is allowed but to record videos of the exhibition generally requires a special permit. Photographs must be taken without flash in order to protect the integrity of the pieces and not to disturb other participants.
