From27 € you can book a guided tour of Prague Castle and its surroundings, such as the beautiful Malá Strana district or the Vltava River before entering the walled citadel. A tremendously complete experience!

Guided tours of Prague Castle last between 45 minutes and 7 hours. This is a factor that can increase the price of the tickets but there are also other factors such as whether the activity includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, whether there is a skip-the-line service to the attraction, the number of sites to be visited on the route, whether there are other activities during the tour such as a cruise on the Vltava River or a walking tour of the city or whether a Czech-style lunch is also included.

That's right! If you want to buy tickets to Prague Castle at the ticket office, you can do so at several points of sale:

  • Prague Castle Information Booths (second and third courtyard)
  • In the Foundry Courtyard
  • In the former Royal Palace
  • At the Castle Picture Gallery
  • At the ticket offices in the Golden Lane

Prague Castle ticket prices at the ticket office are as follows:

  • Adults: from 10,30 €.
  • Seniors (65 years andolder ): from 5,15 €.
  • Children (6-16 years old): from 5,15 €.
  • Children under 6 years: Free

Is it worth buying them at the ticket office?

My advice is to buy your tickets online and in advance of your travel date instead of waiting until you arrive in Prague to buy them.

There are several advantages: you will not have to look for the place where to get the tickets, nor pay in local currency and above all, you will not have to stand in long and boring queues waiting for your turn at the ticket window.

Instead if you decide to buy them online, you will receive the purchase confirmation on your smartphone and the day of the visit you will simply have to show it at the access points to the Prague Castle to enter. You can also print it out if you prefer, although you don't have to - you'll save a lot of time!

In the entire public transport network in Prague (metro, bus and streetcar) you can use the same ticket to get around. The single ticket can be purchased from 1,30 € and is the most commonly used on certain routes. It lasts 90 minutes from the moment it is validated.

There is also a limited ticket from 1 € that allows you to ride buses and streetcars in Prague for 20 minutes but you can not transfer. In the case of the metro, the validity of this limited ticket is 30 minutes and it is valid for 5 stops. If you are going to make short trips to move is a good way to save a little money.

However, if when visiting the Prague Castle would like to not have to pay extra for travel, you can always book a guided tour of the monument with pick up and return to the hotel including purchasing the Prague CoolPass to use public transport in the city as many times as you want, as it is one of the integrated benefits. It will not cost you anything!
