The Miami Tourist Card works in a fairly simple way. You must choose the pass that best suits your itinerary and budget, based on the number of days or attractions offered. Manage your purchase from the comfort of your mobile phone and receive your digital ticket (QR code) immediately .

When you arrive at the attraction, simply show the QR code on your pass at the ticket office. This will allow you to access the attraction without queuing (for example, when you board one of Miami's best tourist buses, which are usually included in all city cards).

Miami tourist cards are valid for approximately one year after purchase. However, once you activate the pass (scan it for the first time), this period is reduced.

It all depends on the type of tourist card you have. For example:

  • The 1-, 2-, 3-, or 5-day all-inclusive pass: valid for approximately 15 days after activation.
  • The Explorer Pass (2, 3, 4, or 5 attractions): offers about 60 days, counting from the first time you enjoy one of the selected attractions, such as the Miami bike tour, the visit to The Little House of Truman, etc.

The truth is that there are few scenarios where purchasing a pass would not be convenient. However, the only time it is not recommended to purchase the pass is if the activities or places of interest offered are not on your list of preferences.

Among the experiences not offered with the pass are: helicopter rides over the city, visits to the Miami cigar factory, Lamborghini driving experiences, escape rooms, private airplane tours, and other more exclusive activities.

Tips for getting the most out of your Miami tourist card

Miami tourist cards are an ideal way to enjoy the city's must-see destinations without spending too much money. Although using these passes is practically intuitive, you'll need to keep a few tips in mind to get the most out of them.

Plan your itinerary

Although most tourist passes suggest some itineraries, it's best to plan your own route. You should consider the length of your stay, which could be 1 to 3 days in Miami or more. Also, make sure that the must-see destinations according to your preferences, those places that pique your curiosity and you can't miss, are included in the card's options.

In addition, check the location of each attraction, as well as its respective operating hours. This way, you can create a route that is as close as possible between each destination, avoiding wasting time going from one end of the city to the other. In fact, you can use your pass app to find out about routes, distances, means of transportation, etc.

Choose digital entry

When you purchase your pass, you will have the option of receiving it digitally or accessing it through an app such as Go City. Both present the pass in QR code format.

The advantage of this is that you will always have the pass handy on your cell phone, there is little risk of losing it, and the process of entering the attractions will be more authorized, saving you time.

Make reservations

Even if you visit the city in the off-season, you should know that tourist traffic is fairly steady throughout the year. Especially if you travel to Miami in the summer, you will find that many of the attractions require queuing to enter, so it is best to make reservations for your visits.

On the other hand, depending on the type of attraction, reservations may be required regardless of the time of year or the type of pass purchased. So be aware of this and take the necessary measures.
