You may think that it is just a strategy to increase the price of tickets, but the Moulin Rouge cuisine is backed by a team of professionals who get dishes to match the show.

But if this is not your case and you don't want to choose this option, no problem. Fortunately the Moulin Rouge is located in the Montmartre neighborhood and visiting it is one of the things to do on a trip to Paris. If we talk about restaurants near the Moulin Rouge ... there is nothing closer than the Moulin Rouge itself. Indeed the most famous establishment in Paris has a restaurant. In fact to see the show instead of seats you sit next to a table. With your ticket to see the Moulin Rouge show you can include a dinner to match the fame of the establishment. French food is as classic as its cinema. And there is a place where the two mix. Less than 200 meters from the Moulin Rouge is the café Des Deux Moulins or the mills. A typical Parisian brasserie that became famous for being the cafeteria where the protagonist of the movie Amélie works.

Inside they keep an original poster of the film and its menu offers a wide variety of sweet and savory dishes. An option close to the Moulin Rouge and successful to eat but very crowded thanks to the fame that earned him the film.

It is located in the famous Clichy square very close to the Moulin Rouge. A place specialized in brunch whose fame is on the rise. Of Australian origin, the Hardware Société is perfect for a good brunch with sweet or savory products. It is well known among Parisians from the surrounding area but not so much among tourists so it is usually a quiet place. Haute cuisine has a place in the Montmartre district. From the hand of chef Sébastien Heloin, who trained in the kitchens of the Ritz and the Bristol, is this hidden gem called Seb'on. It is a modern place, well decorated and with only 9 tables to guarantee a service of 10. Its dishes are avant-garde and worthy of being considered haute cuisine but without having exorbitant prices.

The menu changes every week but always with fresh seasonal products. For those who want a special dinner with the guarantee of a top chef is the best place near the Moulin Rouge.

Keep in mind that if you are going to combine the show at the Moulin Rouge with dinner or lunch at a nearby restaurant you will probably have to do it before entering. For meals there is no problem, but the show passes at 21:00 and 23:00 at night so you will have to have dinner before.

There is no problem for this as restaurants in Paris open their kitchens for dinner around 19:00 and some do not close until midnight. Meal times in Paris are between 12:00 and 14:00 and for breakfast you will have no problem as cafes open early and do not close until late afternoon or evening.

You will not have to worry about tipping if you eat or dine in a restaurant in Paris. By law it is already included in the bill and usually carries a 15% service charge. You are not obliged to leave extra but as everywhere else it is a welcome gesture.
