This is one of the easiest tourist passes to use, since you only need to purchase the product in a virtual shopping cart and activate it with your visit to the first attraction included in the list.

At the time of purchase you must choose the pass that best suits your itinerary, starting with the one-day passes and ending with the 7-day passes.

You will need to have the mobile app of the company offering the service on your phone, in this case the Go City mobile app. This is why I recommend my traveler friends to make their pass purchase days before their trip and make sure everything is working properly, in case you may experience network connection issues after your arrival in Hawaii.

How to receive your pass:

Once you make the purchase of your pass on the Hellotickets website you will receive a confirmation email to the email address you entered during the purchase.

This email contains the detailed explanation on how to download the Go City application and activate the pass you have purchased.

As you'll soon realize, this tourist pass is one of the most comprehensive options you'll find in Hawaii. I present in detail the facilities that the pass provides to travelers who decide to purchase it.

Tours and excursions

Possibly the most interesting part of the pass are the experiences in the form of tours and excursions that are included. Below, you can see a list of the most interesting ones.

4. When to buy the Oahu Go Sightseeing Pass

It is very worthwhile to purchase the Oahu Go card on almost any visit to Hawaii because of the many attractions included and the flexibility to visit them. If you want a multi-day card, you don't have to use it on consecutive days, so if you want to alternate days of sightseeing with days of relaxation and spa at the hotel, it's totally possible!

Another great advantage is the possibility of saving money. If you organize your itinerary correctly to visit at least 3 attractions per day you can secure savings of approximately 50% compared to buying each attraction individually.

It is also useful if you visit Oahu with family and friends, because even if you buy the card as a group, each member gets an individual pass and the group can split up to visit different attractions or do different activities.

5. When it is not convenient to buy the Oahu Go Tourist Pass

I do not recommend purchasing the Oahu Go tourist pass if your Hawaii travel itinerary does not allow you to do the most prominent tourist activities.

People visiting the islands for business, work or a one-time event may find themselves short of time to organize additional excursions, which is why it is not convenient to pay for a full tourist pass that they will not end up taking advantage of.

For people with a reduced itinerary, the recommendation is to select a few activities based on their tastes and interests.

Fortunately, Oahu is a destination highly focused on tourism, which is why alternatives abound; from surfing lessons, Luau shows, gastronomic tours or helicopter tours, there is plenty to enjoy in this tropical paradise.

Although Oahu once had other tourist passes such as the Honolulu iVenture or Economic Maui Pass, most of them have been eliminated, leaving the Oahu Go Pass as the best alternative for the traveler visiting the city to enjoy sightseeing.

Here is another very interesting pass that could allow you to save on your trip in case you don't want to buy the Oahu Go.

Passport to Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor is among the most important sites in U.S. history during World War II, so a visit to the facility is a must on any tour of the city.

The Pearl Harbor Passport can only be purchased at the complex's visitor center and offers travelers discounted prices to visit the site's main attractions such as the ships, the two museums and the memorial.

If you have already decided to purchase the Oahu Go Tourist Pass, there are a number of tips you can do to have the best possible experience during your visit to this tropical paradise.

Check the attractions that require reservations

Keep in mind that some attractions included in your tourist pass may require reservations, so when organizing your visit, keep in mind what they are and when you will visit them.

This aspect is of vital importance if you are going to be in the islands during peak tourist seasons, such as winter, and you are going to do activities with your family or a group of friends. Advance reservations will ensure a place for each member of the group.

Visit 3 attractions per day

The best way to get the most out of your tourist card is to organize your itinerary to make the most of every minute; no matter what type of pass you decide to purchase, whether your visit includes 5 days or 10 days on Oahu, organize your travel plan to visit about three attractions each day.

Pay attention to premium experiences

The Oahu Go Tourist Pass offers special premium experiences to all those users who purchase passes of 3 days or more.

Although the list includes about 5 different experiences, keep in mind that each traveler is only entitled to choose one experience from the list to do at any time during their trip.

To buy the card, take advantage of the offers

Some portals such as Hellotickets can get better deals with the companies that organize these types of products, resulting in small discounts that you as a user can take advantage of.

The Oahu Go Card is one of those products that you will be able to acquire at a reduced price when you buy it on this website. The discount becomes more noticeable if you purchase multi-day packages for several people.

Check the hours of use

The Go Oahu pass has a regulated schedule of use that goes from 09:00h in the morning until 18:30h in the afternoon. Unless the activity you want to do indicates a night schedule, for most of the included attractions you will not be able to use the pass outside these hours.

If you have any doubts about a specific attraction or activity, I recommend that you consult directly with the customer service team days before your trip and once you have purchased the pass.
