• April 14, 2026: Charlotte Hornets vs. Miami Heat (Play-In Tournament). Miami’s postseason journey begins with a do-or-die road game, as the play-in tournament kicks off on April 14, with the possibility of extending their run that same week if they can overcome the first round and stay in contention for the playoffs.
• Second half of April 2026: Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons (potential first-round playoff series). If Miami manages to survive the play-in and secure the eighth seed in the East, their next opponent would be the Detroit Pistons, the conference’s top seed, in a series that would begin on April 18 and push Erik Spoelstra’s team to its absolute limit.

The Kaseya Center box office is only open on game days, starting 3 hours before tip-off. It gets pretty hot in Miami, and I’m sure you won’t want to wait in line outside the arena.

The United States isn’t a cheap country, and to watch a live sporting event, you’ll have to get used to opening your wallet. However, prices aren’t as high as you might think. A seat with a good location (and a clear view of the court) usually costs around €90.

A vacation in the United States isn’t cheap, so it’s helpful to know a few tips for saving on Miami Heat tickets:

• Seats located in the corners are slightly cheaper than those in the center
• Prices are very affordable in the area furthest from the court, located in the upper deck of the arena (sections 401 through 420)
• If the opponent isn’t among the NBA’s elite, you can find deals around €30 per ticket (sometimes even less!)
• The NBA preseason is much cheaper than the regular season. Usually, star players stay on the bench, and this is reflected in ticket prices. Plus, it can be a chance to see the young talents who will dominate in the future

Otherwise, the same tips apply as for other teams: choose weekday games and buy tickets well in advance.

Die-hard fans have no doubt: the best seats are in sections 106/107 and 118/119. To be more specific, in sections 106 and 118, the higher seats are more desirable, while in sections 107 and 119, the lower seats guarantee a better view.

The Dewars Club deserves an honorable mention. Specifically, it’s located on the second level, between the lower and upper sections. The first 10 rows in sections 101 through 124 guarantee access to this area of the arena. If you can, reserve a seat near the front railing—you’ll have the best view of the court.

Sorry, that’s not possible. The FXT Arena does not offer guided tours. When there are no events taking place, the Arena staff performs maintenance on the facilities. If you’re a basketball fan, you can console yourself by visiting or participating in the following attractions/activities:

• Miami Heat Store, the team’s official store. Perfect if you want to buy jerseys, hats, sweatshirts, and much more. It’s located on the ground floor of the arena (601 Biscayne Boulevard)
• Grails, in case you can’t get tickets to the FXT Arena. This bar/restaurant broadcasts all NBA games and is known for its great atmosphere. It’s also famous for the Sneaker Cocktail, a drink served directly from a shoe. Incredible, right? (2800 N Miami Avenue)
• Play basketball with the locals. There are a few courts around the city where you can play this exciting sport. The best ones are at Margaret Pace Park in Coconut Grove (2845 Brickell Avenue) and Palm Island Park (159 Palm Avenue, Miami Beach)

The 2025-2026 NBA season follows the usual format: it only pauses during the summer, and games are played even on holidays like Christmas or New Year’s Day. This means that if you visit Miami during the winter, you’ll have a great chance to see the Heat in action at the Kaseya Center.

Here’s the general schedule for the season:

• Preseason – between late September and early October 2025. Exhibition games designed to fine-tune the team and give playing time to young talents.
• Regular Season – 82 games (41 home and 41 away), from early October 2025 through mid- to late April 2026.
• All-Star Game – the NBA’s biggest celebration weekend, featuring three-point and dunk contests, and the game between the Eastern and Western Conference All-Stars. In 2026, it will be held in February.
• Playoffs – the top 8 teams from each conference compete for a spot in the Finals, from mid-April through early June.
• Finals – played as a best-of-seven series; the team that wins four games takes home the championship ring.

Rivalries

Some games of the 2025–2026 season will have a special flavor due to the intensity of their historic rivalries:

• Orlando Magic – The “Sunshine State rivalry” pits two cities separated by just 230 miles against each other. On these nights, the Kaseya Center buzzes like never before.
• Indiana Pacers – A highly charged matchup due to the media disparity between the two franchises.
• Boston Celtics – A more recent rivalry, fueled by star power and high-level games.
• New York Knicks – Very close matchups that are often decided by just a few points.
• Dallas Mavericks – An intense rivalry, marked by inflammatory statements from the team’s owner.

NBA games are played in four quarters, with a 15-minute halftime break between the second and third quarters. Unlike European leagues, each quarter lasts 12 minutes (instead of 10). For this reason, actual playing time is 48 minutes, but when you factor in fouls and timeouts, the game can easily exceed an hour and a half.

For all home games, children under two years of age may enter free of charge. Children must be accompanied by an adult (with a valid ticket) and must share a seat with a parent or guardian. To avoid any issues, it is recommended to bring a document such as a birth certificate.

Yes, the NBA is still in the midst of the regular season during December, and the Miami Heat’s schedule for the 2025-2026 season includes several games around the Christmas holidays. This means that if you visit Miami during those weeks, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to watch a live game at the Kaseya Center. Where to eat

If you don’t want to waste time, I recommend opting for the stadium restaurants. If you’re in the mood for fast food, you can grab a hot dog at Downtown/Uptown Dog (sections 112 and 407) or a chicken burger at Chicken Ciao (sections 108 and 309). Craving Mexican food? Then head to Bodega (sections 108, 124, and 303).

If you don’t want to wait until you’re inside the Kaseya Center, you can grab lunch or dinner at the following spots:

• Esotico Miami, a little slice of Hawaii in Florida. In reality, its cuisine is more eclectic, blending Hawaiian classics with specialties from Asia and Latin America (1600 NE 1st Avenue #102)
• Eleventh Street Pizza, New York-style pizza just a stone’s throw from the Kaseya Center. At the restaurant, you also have the option to try a slice (or more) instead of a whole pizza (1035 N Miami Avenue)
• Black Market, a spot with an incredibly varied menu. Here you can try a crispy chicken sandwich, pulled pork, nachos, mac and cheese, and much more (401 Biscayne Blvd Unit 225-N)
• Jaguar Sun, an elegant restaurant famous for both its oysters and pasta dishes. It also has a great cocktail menu. In my opinion, it’s a great place to go after the game
• Lost Boy, known for its happy hours and drinks (157 E Flagler Street)

Where to park

Have you rented a car? Are you staying outside of Miami and can’t use public transportation? In that case, you can park your vehicle at the following parking lots:

• Bayside Marketplace. During certain special events, it also offers valet parking. You can find more information on the official website (401 Biscayne Boulevard)
• Ultra Park LLC, the closest parking lot to the Kaseya Center. Once you’ve parked, it’s less than a five-minute walk (700 Biscayne Boulevard)

When should you head to the stadium?

To avoid lines and enjoy the game, it’s best to arrive well in advance. If you have a little time to spare, you can take a short walk to Spanish Navy Plaza, a public square in downtown Miami, or the Giant Head Statue, a large sculpture depicting a face.

Wi-Fi

The Kaseya Center is the most important sports venue in South Florida. Therefore, it’s essential to have a good, secure Wi-Fi connection inside. This way, fans can rewatch highlights and check live stats. Just select the network from the available options and log in.

The Miami Heat’s home arena is just a stone’s throw from the marina and the Freedom Tower. To get there , you can choose a free option: the monorail. In the Florida metropolis, this mode of transportation is known as the Metromover. The line closest to the stadium is the Inner Loop. From downtown, simply get off at the Freedom Tower stop.

Alternatively, you can choose two other Metromover lines: the Brickell Loop and the Inner Loop. In both cases, simply get off at the College North stop and walk for less than 10 minutes.
