Ferrari World Day Trips from Dubai
Have you heard of Ferrari World? Located in Abu Dhabi, this place is a paradise for fans of Formula 1 and the automotive world. If you are one of those people, you are in luck because there are several excursions to go.
One of the things you have to do in Dubai is to visit Ferrari World, the world's largest indoor park dedicated solely and exclusively to the car brand. In addition to official stores and galleries that show you the evolution of Ferrari cars over the years, this park is famous for its roller coasters and rides.
Getting to Ferrari World is quite easy and there are different excursions depending on how long you want to extend your visit or what you want to spend more time on. Although there are many options, I have been looking for the best ones so that you can start to warm up and book your excursion to Ferrari World.
1. Excursion to Ferrari World and the city of Abu Dhabi
Are you going to Ferrari World but don't want to miss the opportunity to visit other areas of Abu Dhabi? YAS Island, where the theme park is located, will be one of the stops on these excursions, but first, accompanied by a specialized guide you will visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque or the royal palaces. All this with the comfort and security of knowing that the entrance fees are included. In addition, you will travel in a shared bus that will transport you from your hotel to each point of the tour for approximately 190 €.
Of course, these tours are mainly to go to Ferrari World from Dubai, so visits to the rest of Abu Dhabi are quick, although you will have more than enough time to take some pictures and keep the memory. The good thing is that being a long excursion, a full day, they usually include a drink and, on request, lunch, so you have strength and you can ride all the Ferrari attractions.
Although you will spend a long afternoon (about 4 hours) in the park and you will have time to ride even more than once on all the roller coasters, the simulator and go-karts are not included in these excursions.
- Price: about 190€.
- Duration: about 10 hours (4 hours at Ferrari World).
- What's included: entrance tickets to Ferrari World, transfers, express tour of Abu Dhabi and specialized guide.
- Recommended if: taking advantage of your trip to Ferrari World you also want to visit Abu Dhabi.
2. Excursion to Ferrari World from Dubai with racing simulator included
Going from Dubai to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is much easier if you do it through an organized tour, believe me. Why do I say that? Because you can book everything at once and with a single price starting from 100€, as these tours include full entrance to the park and transportation in a private coach. The comfort of traveling in an air-conditioned vehicle that picks you up at your hotel and takes you to the park with a small group of people is a great advantage.
Enjoy all the activities of the Park
By avoiding transfers or moving around Abu Dhabi, you will have more than enough time (approximately 5 hours) to ride the more than 30 attractions of Ferrari World and even feel like a real racing driver on the karting circuit and simulator. Maybe your savings won't be enough to buy a car, but you will be able to enter the largest Ferrari store and buy some souvenirs of your visit.
My advice is to check whether food is included or not, as in most cases it is not. If that is the case, don't worry, because at Ferrari World you will have restaurants to choose from. Although we are in the United Arab Emirates, Italian cuisine is the star of this theme park, so you can recharge your batteries with a good pizza. But don't even think about riding the Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world.
Get to know a more traditional part of the city
If you find so much adrenaline overwhelming, don't worry, because these tours to Abu Dhabi from Dubai include a quick visit with a professional guide to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, a very traditional but immensely beautiful place that acts as a counterpoint for you to get to know Abu Dhabi beyond Ferrari.
- Price: about 190€.
- Duration: about 7 hours (5 hours at Ferrari World).
- What's included: entrance tickets to Ferrari World (with race simulation and go-karting), transfers, visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.
- Recommended if: you want to dedicate half a day only to Ferrari World.
3. Full private tour to Ferrari World from Dubai
Ferrari is synonymous with exclusivity, and there is no more special way to visit its theme park in Abu Dhabi than by private transportation. On the day of your choice, a professionally chauffeured car will come to pick you up at your hotel in Dubai to take you to Ferrari World without having to wait for any other passengers or making any stops in between. Once in the Park, you will be able to explore all the areas, attractions, stores and museums without rushing, knowing that when you decide to leave your chauffeur will be waiting for you.
Being a private tour in which you choose the time and place of pick-up, the price of these excursions is somewhat higher (from 120 €), but it will be worth it if you have very clear that you want to go to Ferrari World and have a whole day to experience the adrenaline that runs throughout the park.
- Price: approximately 120€.
- Duration: about 8 hours.
- What's included: full entrance tickets to Ferrari World, private transfers with hotel pick up.
- Recommended if: you want to enjoy Ferrari World at your leisure.
4. Express excursion to Ferrari World
If during your one-day visit to Abu Dhabi you want to visit Ferrari World but also have little interest in accessing it and its roller coasters, I recommend booking a bus tour of the city of Abu Dhabi that includes a quick visit to the park. These tours are very complete, as they have a specialized guide and also make stops at other tourist spots in the city. In addition, its price is somewhat more affordable (approximately 60 €), as it does not include entrance fees.
Ferrari World is the largest indoor theme park in the world so, even if you do not want to enter, my advice is to go to see it at least from the outside. I assure you that contemplating its immense red dome will impress you and you will want to take more than one picture of it. In addition, even if you do not have a ticket for the park, you can access the official stores and also buy some souvenirs.
- Price approximately 60 €.
- Duration: about 5 hours.
- What's included: transfers in a shared vehicle.
- Recommended if: you just want to see Ferrari World but don't want to pay to enter.
5. No-queue excursion to Ferrari World
If you've ever been to a big theme park like Ferrari World, which receives thousands of tourists every day, you surely know that the queues to ride each attraction can be very long, making you spend more time waiting than enjoying the roller coasters. My advice? Book an excursion that includes priority access and no queues. It costs about 200€, but I promise you'll be investing in a better experience.
Have you ever had that feeling that you've been waiting in line for hours only to spend less than 5 minutes on the roller coaster? This is what will happen to you when you get on the Formula Rossa, if you don't have a queue-free ticket.
Otherwise, you can skip the lines. After all, every minute in this park counts and there is so much to see and do! In addition, you will arrive at Ferrari World in a private shuttle, with a small group of other visitors, so the waiting time is reduced from the very beginning. In total, more than 6 hours in which the cars and roller coasters will infect you with their speed.
- Price approximately 200€.
- Duration: about 6 hours.
- What's included: full tickets to Ferrari World with priority access (no queues), private transfers with hotel pick up.
- Recommended if: you do not like to queue and want to ride the attractions several times.
6. Excursion to Ferrari World and Warner Bros Park in Abu Dhabi
Are you a fan of amusement parks and want to visit them all? If you already know that you want to go to Ferrari World from Abu Dhabi, I recommend you to book an excursion that also includes the entrance and transfer to Warner Bros World, so you can visit both parks on the same day and for a combined price of approximately 150€. As both are located on YAS Island, the private coach that picks you up at your hotel in Dubai will also take you from one park to the other.
If you are traveling with children and family, this tour is a very good alternative. On the one hand, it is much more complete and combines two entertaining parks suitable for the little ones (especially Warner, which has attractions that the little ones will enjoy to the fullest).
On the other hand, having a private transportation that picks you up at the hotel and, at midday, takes you from Ferrari World to Warner Bros Park, will make it much more comfortable to move around with the kids. However, remember that when you book the excursion online you will have to mark that you go with children, since the entrance will have a reduced price and the bus may have to incorporate special seats for them.
- Price: approximately 150€.
- Duration: about 10 hours.
- What's included: full entrance tickets to Ferrari World and Warner Bros Park, private transfers with hotel pick up.
- Recommended if: you like theme parks.
Is it worth going to Ferrari World Park?
If you like adrenaline, watching Formula 1 races on TV, knowing first-hand the history of a historic brand and discovering the most modern side of Abu Dhabi, you have to go to Ferrari World Park. But don't expect a park similar to others like Disneyland, because the style is totally different. Therefore, if you are not 100% convinced to go or you are not particularly interested in cars, it is not worth paying the high entrance fee.
On the other hand, if you are interested in riding the fastest roller coaster in the world, the Formula Rossa, remember to check beforehand on the official website if it is open, since at some times it is closed for maintenance or security and you do not want to buy the ticket to find out later that the attraction is not available.
How much time do I need to visit the Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi?
It will depend on how interested you are in Ferrari and how eager you are to ride the rides. My advice is that, considering there are usually long lines to enter and ride each roller coaster, book at least half a day at the Park.
There you will find everything you need to spend a whole day, from restaurants to stores to dance shows, acrobatics and even optical illusions. In order to organize your visit, remember to check the schedules of each attraction and check if they are open or closed for maintenance.
What attractions are not to be missed at Ferrari Park?
In total, there are 19 attractions awaiting you at Ferrari World. Some are more exciting than others, although if you like adrenaline, speed and cars, in any of them you can feel a bit like a Formula 1 driver before and during a race.
Formula Rossa: the fastest
Without a doubt, the Formula Rossa is a must, as it reaches its maximum speed in just 5 seconds and, although short (the total distance is less than 2 minutes), it is very intense and will make your heart jump out of your mouth.
Another worthwhile attraction is the Fiorano GT Challenge, where you will feel like a racing driver trying to get your car to the finish line first.
This roller coaster is actually made up of two rows of old Ferrari cars. Both groups start at the same time, but only one gets to the finish line first, so you're sure to want to ride more than once to get your win.
This attraction is a free fall, but beyond the adrenaline rush, what you will enjoy is the views you will have during the climb.
As an elevated observation deck, the attraction will lift you more than 60 meters above the building's red dome, so you'll have some pretty incredible views.
If you go to Ferrari World because you like cars, you have to listen to my last recommendation: the Galleria Ferrari, here you can see the history of the brand through its most representative racing models.
What else is there to do at Yas Island?
Yas Island is not only the place where Ferrari World is located. Just 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi, on this artificial island there are other activities and plans waiting for you that you can combine with your trip to the theme park, such as a beach area or shows and concerts.
On the island you can get a close look at the Yas Marina circuit, where the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix is held, and also relax in Yas Bay, a huge pier on the coast where you will find restaurants, clubs and luxury hotels.
How badly do you want to go to Ferrari World now? As you can see, there is no lack of alternatives to organize your excursion to the world of speed, adrenaline and Italian cars.
