Both the Park Güell and the Sagrada Familia have the option through the Hellotickets website to buy tickets for an approximate price of 16€ and 34€ respectively. However, there is no combined ticket offered directly by both institutions.

Luckily, many websites and tour companies offer this type of combined tickets, with prices around 75€, to enjoy two of the greatest works of the artist Gaudí with all kinds of advantages. You only have to buy them online a few days in advance and show it at your entrance to both places.

The truth is that both the price of Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia can be a bit high if you buy them separately. Barcelona has many museums and places to see and it is always a good option to consider buying some kind of pack as these combined tickets to save a few eurillos.

What are the advantages of a combined ticket to La Sagrada Familia and Park Güell?

The combined tickets to La Sagrada Familia and Park Güell are a good option that I recommend you to consider as you can save money and time, as well as make the most of the experience in the two tourist attractions.

The general admission to La Sagrada Familia starts at about 34 ¤ and the general admission to Park Güell is around 16 ¤. So a priori you might think that buying separately could be better, but if you stop to see what these basic tickets offer, you will notice the difference right away.

The general tickets to the Sagrada Familia do not include, for example, the climb to the towers from where you have spectacular views and the general pass to Park Guell does not have any guide to guide you on what you see.

To get these extra services, in the Sagrada Familia the entrance fee is almost 40€ and Park Guell to 25€. For the approximate 65€ that it would cost you to buy both tickets separately, you can buy one of the combined entry modes and, in addition, have not only an audio guide in Spanish to show you both places, but also with transfers between the two monuments. It's definitely worth it.

How is it better to organize the visit to the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell with a combined ticket?

If you have opted for the simplest combined ticket offer, you will be able to see both monuments in a much more flexible and personal way without having to wait in endless queues. The best way to organize it is to book this type of ticket in advance and already knowing in advance the dates you want to visit. You don't have to do both on the same day. You can do one first and the next day the other or both on the same day, but you must know in advance and book the dates in advance due to capacity issues.

If you have little time in the city, I recommend that you take advantage of booking both dates for the same day. Either way, ideally you should go to the Sagrada Familia in the morning, preferably early in the morning (it opens at 09h) because, although with this ticket you should not expect queues, it will be much nicer to see inside without so many crowds. With Park Güell, however, my advice is to go at sunset around 18:30, since from its famous caldera you can have a privileged view and, if you come in summer, the temperatures in the park will be more pleasant.

Thus, you can organize your trip to Barcelona much better and save a few bucks without having to give up to know in depth these two works of art of Gaudí. You will be free to choose the dates and times that best suit you and, in addition, you will have access to all the facilities and an audio guide in each place.

If you have come to visit Barcelona in 1 day and you have just enough time, this type of tickets can be your solution as they not only offer access to the basilica and Park Güell but also organize the entire visit and transfers so you can do both visits throughout the day in approximately 4 to 6 hours.

If you were thinking of doing the visits on your own, it would be advisable to check the schedule of the Sagrada Familia and the schedule of the Park Güell in order to be able to balance your time and control the time of the journeys between one place and the other. However, one of the advantages of this type of combined tickets is that the tour itself in which access is included organizes the day for you.

The most common is that this type of combined tours have a duration of 4 hours and are done in the morning, as the afternoon schedules may vary depending on the season. This way, whether you choose a type of tour that goes first to Sagrada Familia and then to Park Güell or vice versa, you will finish seeing everything by lunchtime and still have the afternoon to get to know this beautiful city a little better.

Where to eat near La Sagrada Familia and near Park Güell

Once you have finished your visit to Park Güell and La Sagrada Familia, you will have worked up an appetite and will be in the vicinity of one of the two tourist attractions. I recommend that you take the opportunity to enter one of the restaurants in the area to recharge your batteries and try some typical Catalan and Mediterranean dishes.

  • Paella and tradition near the Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia is in one of the most gentrified and traditional areas of Barcelona, so it will not be difficult to find some of the best restaurants in the city. Being such a touristy place, there will be no shortage of stalls and restaurants offering menus, sangria and paella. But, so you do not get ripped off with prices and quality, I want to recommend two restaurants whose quality and price will make you leave very satisfied.

On the one hand, the Madre Restaurant, a few steps from the Sagrada Familia, offers an experience of tapas and portions of first quality, with simple but very well worked products for you to have a gourmet tapas lunch. On the other hand, if what you want is to try a good paella, I suggest you go to try the Arrocería Gaudí, a place specializing in rice dishes that will make you lick your fingers.

  • Rustic food with views of Park Güell

The surroundings of the Park Güell are within a beautiful residential area within Barcelona and also offer a great gastronomic offer more intimate and rustic. If you finish your visit of the combined tickets in this beautiful and special park, I want to leave you two restaurant options for you to consider.

Tibet Restaurant offers a good menu of seasonal products prepared in a simple and tasty way and respecting the most primary flavors. Also the Restaurant La Salut has a varied menu of dishes typical of Mediterranean cuisine with meats, fish, rice and seasonal vegetables, a delight!

If you do the sightseeing on your own, the truth is that it is quite a long way to walk. Although Barcelona is a very nice city to walk around, if you come with little time it may not be such a good idea to invest 30 minutes walking. The best option in this case is to take the bus, combining the V21 line with the V19 or the metro, getting off at Sagrada Familia or Lesseps to go to Park Guell.

However, all this hassle of subways, buses and combinations you can avoid if you hire one of the tours with combined ticket to both monuments as transfers are included in the price.

Thus, not only you avoid the price of public transport, but you will also travel comfortably and with air conditioning. Something that, I assure you, in summer in Barcelona you will appreciate.

Gaudí is one of the emblems of Barcelona and two of its greatest representations are precisely the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell. These two must-sees are visited every year by millions of people.

Before you start your visit to both places with your combined ticket, let me tell you a little better what you will see on your visit and what is the importance of these two places in the modernist city.

Sagrada Familia

The interior of the Sagrada Familia is worth seeing. It is a modernist style basilica, one of the few there are of this artistic period, which Gaudí designed and began to build in the early nineteenth century. To this day, it is still under construction and that is why it is normal that when you see it, it is full of cranes. The artist left all the plans ready to know how to finish his masterpiece.

The exterior alone is worth a visit. Its strong influence of nature is intermingled with Christian symbols, so that it seems to have a leafy and organic facade with a total of 12 towers that give it impressive dimensions.

Although it is not finished, you can enter inside and see the chapel, which is almost entering the mind of the author. The play with shapes and heights is unique.

Park Güell

Park Güell was commissioned by Eusebi Güell and is one of the projects where Gaudí was most involved. The artist wanted to make a fusion between the nature of the park and its characteristic forms and sculptures. Thus, his famous salamander made of mosaic, its large terrace overlooking the entire city, its forest of columns and walkways made with sculpted columns have remained as landmarks of Barcelona.

Visiting Park Güell is an experience for the senses, as you will feel like you are inside a fantasy set, where color and shapes play with you.

The best advice I can give you if you are planning your trip to Barcelona and you want your visit to Sagrada Familia and Park Güell to be enjoyable and unforgettable is to book well in advance your combined tickets and avoid coming in high season.

Barcelona is a city full of tourist attractions, good weather and gastronomy. It is logical that everyone wants to come and visit it but, precisely, this makes the busiest months of the summer, end up crowded all points of interest in Barcelona.

If you want to avoid finding the basilica and the park full of tourists from all over the world and temperatures above 35ºC, I recommend you to come to Barcelona in June or September; the weather will be pleasant but you will find the city with less affluent people.
