Step by Step

On this original tour of about 2 hours you will visit important places in the history of World War II and Poland, such as the Podgórze district, the Oskar Schindler Factory and the Eagle Pharmacy Museum. For your convenience, the tour includes transfers by electric car between the main sights and an audio guide . In addition, the driver will also provide interesting facts during the transfers, as the groups will be of about 12 people and will have your full attention.

The Podgórze Jewish ghetto is one of the most important sites. It was built by the Nazis to isolate the Jews from the Germans. Jews were forced to work and live in deplorable conditions until they were moved to concentration camps.

Nowadays there are hardly any traces of the ghetto, but at 25 Lwowska Street you will see the only remaining piece of the ghetto wall, which separated the district from the rest of the city.

You will pass the curious Ghetto Heroes' Square. This monument in homage to the Jews is made up of a set of chairs. It was here that Jews were selected for work or to be transported to the concentration camps.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Oskar Schindler Factory. This place became famous thanks to Steven Spielberg's film "Schindler's List". Originally, it served as a workplace and refuge for Jews. Today, it is a holocaust museum.

Finally, enter the Eagle Pharmacy Museum, a former pharmacy in Podgórze where Jews used to meet in hiding.

The Schindler factory is the best museum I have seen in a long time, and I have already had the opportunity to visit several in the rest of Europe. I will definitely return in the future, I soaked up so much knowledge about Poland and Krakow that I would never have imagined.
