General admission at the Louvre Museum box office costs about 15 ¤ and covers both permanent and temporary collections. Therefore, there are no reduced rates to enter the building.

If you decide to buy your tickets for the Louvre at the box office you can save a couple of euros but in return you will have to keep there very long queues that can last between 40 minutes and 2 hours and you risk that when your turn comes at the window, the tickets are already sold out for the date and time you want to visit.

Therefore, it is not the option that I recommend. My advice is to buy online and in advance the tickets to the Louvre Museum because this way you will ensure your place on the day you want, you will save all that time waiting at the ticket office and you will avoid getting tired before doing the tour inside.
