At first glance, a mine may not seem like the ideal place for a trip with children. But being such an atypical and different place, a visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine is something they will remember forever. It is not every day that you have the opportunity to go deep into the depths of the Earth!

Moreover, the tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine is open to children of any age and admission is free for children up to the age of 4 years. All other children must have their own ticket.

They will have a great time exploring the interior of a very old medieval mine and listening to all the legends that circulate around it. They will see lots of subway chambers and galleries, curious rock formations, beautiful salt lakes, amazing sculptures and learn about the hard work of the miners.

If you want to know more about the family visit to this special monument I recommend you to read the post Visiting the Salt Mines with children.
