Step by Step

This one and a half hour walking tour will take you to the highlights of the area. A guide with a personal connection to the attacks will give you the details and first-hand experience of that fateful morning.

The area of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 was practically razed to the ground and was given the name Ground Zero. Today it is almost completely renovated and is the place of reference to honour the memory of the nearly 3,000 victims of the attacks.

The tour will start at St. Paul's Chapel. This church, one block away from the epicentre of the attacks, served as a rescue site.

You will also pass the 9/11 Memorial. Two reflecting pools represent the now defunct Twin Towers. The sound of the water will take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and will lead you to reflect.

Ground Zero is constantly evolving and new buildings are added every year. The Oculus is one of the newest. The structure of the central station is not going unnoticed by anyone. Santiago Calatrava 's controversial design has been compared to a bird, an insect, the skeleton of a dinosaur or a monster.

In addition, admission to the 9/11 Memorial Museum is included. With it, you can visit the galleries of this moving space as well as take the guided tour. Choose the day and time that best suits your trip and avoid the queues at the museum ticket office.
