Marrakech Food Tour

During this activity, which lasts around 3 hours, you’ll have the chance to explore the local markets of Marrakech and discover the flavours of its cuisine. You’ll be accompanied by an expert guide, from whom you’ll learn a wealth of interesting facts about the history, culture and food of this Moroccan city.

You’ll pass by the Marrakech medina and visit various local food stalls, where you can sample olives, dates, traditional Moroccan bread, spices, tea and much more. Your guide will lead you through the labyrinthine streets of the city’s historic centre, offering you a unique insight into everyday life in Marrakech.

You’ll round off the tour at the Djemaa el Fna market , in the heart of the city. Once there, you’ll have the chance to sample the delicious kofta, a traditional Moroccan dish made with minced meat. The tour includes around ten tastings, after which you’ll finish the experience feeling completely full and satisfied.

Marrakech is one of Morocco’s four imperial cities and one of the country’s most important. With nearly 1,000 years of history, the city boasts a vast historical, cultural and architectural heritage. It is considered the country’s most international city, as it is home to a significant expatriate community.

The Djemaa el Fna market is the largest and best-known in Marrakech, as well as one of the busiest in the whole of Africa. It is situated just a few metres from the Koutoubia Mosque, the city’s main place of worship. Next to the market stand a multitude of minarets and more modest mosques, which complement the Koutoubia.
