The night plans are definitely some of the best things to see and do in Verona at night, not to mention that the pictures you can take in the city at night, end up being some of the most special and beautiful memories you will have of the city.

The Piazza delle Erbe is located in the area that is now known as the ancient Roman forum. Around it you can see different buildings built in different periods of history, and you can also see stalls to buy souvenirs, so it is a very good place to enjoy the nightlife of the city.

The square offers different places where you can have a spritz and accompany it with a good traditional aperitif. At night you can see the Fontana di Madonna, which is a true symbol of the city. At the same time you will be able to see La Berlina and take many pictures in this place during the night atmosphere.

The good thing about going for a walk in this square at night, is that you enter a kind of time tunnel that takes you directly to the fifteenth century. Something that will impress you is the illumination of the place, so it is a good place to start some of the best tours of Verona.

Interesting details

  • Price: Walking around the square is free, although the prices of food and snacks that you can find on your tour vary.

Going for a walk to Juliet's balcony at night is one of the most romantic things you can do in the city, so right after paying the entrance fee to the museum, you can already go up to the second floor, to meet Juliet's famous balcony.

You will be able to take many pictures in this place, although you have to know that in summer season there are constant queues to enter, but they are not so long as to prevent you from including this visit among the best things to see and do in Verona in summer. Downstairs you will find many people waiting to be photographed with the statue of Juliet.

You will love to enter Juliet's house, especially because inside you will see many pieces of furniture dating back to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. You could see all this both at night and during the day, but the magic of visiting this place at night, or at least at sunset, is that the atmosphere is much more romantic, ideal for a couple's plan.

Inside the Arena of Verona you can enjoy the talent of the symphony orchestra, and also delight with the talent of some of the most renowned lyric artists. The castle square is the ideal place to take in some of the best views of the city. At night you can see the lights of Verona and at sunset you can enjoy the sunset. You can reach this castle by taking the funicular, which costs about two euros. The disadvantage of this way is that you can go up until 18:00.

Strolling along this beautiful shopping street in Verona is one of the most fun things to do at night. You'll love the many stores that are open so late. It is especially a good place to shop in original stores and stroll among many tourists and locals.

Via Mazzini runs from the Arena to Piazza delle Erbe, so besides being considered a good place to shop and enjoy the nightlife, it is an ideal place to discover other nearby and equally interesting places in the city. You can't fail to indulge yourself during your evening stroll along this street.

It is clear that the Ponte Pietra is one of the oldest and most interesting places in the city, which you have to visit, even if you go to Verona in 1 day. Moreover, it is an icon of the city because it comes from the Roman Verona. Now, visiting it during the night is an ideal plan if you want to see how the sun sets on the Veronese horizon.

Besides taking pictures of you on the stone bridge during the sunset moment, you have to know that this bridge is loaded with history, along which it has been destroyed many times. In fact, the last time was in April 1945, when the bridge was blown up by the Germans, leaving only the first arch on the right. By 1959, the bridge was reopened.

Continuing with the gastronomic plans to do at night in Verona, another thing you can do is to go and check out some of the best bars in the city. Before venturing into the city's nightlife, you should know that Verona has a very mature nightlife, unlike other neighboring cities such as Venice, which has a slightly more electrifying nightlife.

Verona, on the other hand, offers you wine tasting bars, annual wine fairs that are considered the biggest in Italy, and you can even find different live music offers also in bars and nightclubs, but this usually happens during the weekends.

The Philharmonic Theater is a good place where you can enjoy music in every sense. You will be able to go to see high level shows that are very popular in Verona. It is a big theater, but it offers you the possibility to feel very close to the artist who is performing on stage.

One thing you should know is that before going to a concert at the Philharmonic Theater, you should make your reservation well in advance. You will be struck by the luxurious boxes and the opulence that permeates the whole place. This is one of those places that you should visit both day and night.

Of course the events and shows at the theater take place at night, that is why one of the best plans to do when the sun goes down is to enjoy the shows that this place offers. But before you go to enjoy them, I recommend you to check the available program.

One of the best places to see Verona in all its splendor at night is the Lamberti tower, which is about 84 meters high. It is in Piazza delle Erbe, and is listed as one of the tallest in Verona.

It will cost you about six euros to enter the Palazzo della Ragione and then you can climb to the top by the staircase, of course you also have the option of taking the elevator up. The reward for the climb is a wonderful view, a good night atmosphere and incredible weather at any time of the year.
