The tourist bus of Verona is the City Sightseeing, which has two lines of free stops where you can get on and off as many times as you want to know each of the most interesting places of the city and its history. This is one of the best ways to tour the city in an entertaining and economical way.

It is a double-decker bus on which you can also stay for the entire tour to enjoy the view while listening to an audio guide with interesting information about each of the most popular sights of the city, from the Arena of Verona to Juliet's House.

By the way, the multi-stop bus is a great way to get to the Roman Arena, if you are looking for a way to visit the Arena of Verona. On the other hand, this is a service that you can use for a certain amount of time with a single ticket.

You have to keep in mind that the bus allows you to pass by each of the sights, but the ticket does not include the entrance to any of the monuments. Still, without a doubt, this is one of the best experiences to include in the list of things to do in Verona with kids, because it runs all day long.

Verona's flexible stop bus has two lines, line A and line B. Line A goes straight to the Pradoval Gardens, while on the way you will be able to see the medieval walls, just before heading towards the San Zeno area, where the popular Basilica is located.

Leaving this place, the bus goes straight to the Adige, passing Castelvecchio and continuing to Porta dei Borsari, to immediately show the Roman Theater and the Stone Bridge, the latter listed as the oldest monument in Verona.

For its part, line B of the bus leaves from the east of the city, to go directly to Castel San Pietro, which is one of the most beautiful sights of the city. You will see how the bus goes down the hill and enters directly into the old town. Once there you can admire the bell towers of the Cathedral of Santa Anastasia.

Finally, bus route B takes you to Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, just before reaching Juliet's house. In summary, I name you the stops of each line:

The Verona sightseeing bus is really advantageous because it allows you to see as many tourist sites as possible before taking any of the best tours of the city of Verona. It is a fairly inexpensive bus tour that takes you through the most special and emblematic places of the city.

Another interesting advantage of this bus is that its stops are free, that is, you can get on and off the bus as many times as you want and at the stops you want, without having to buy a new bus ticket each time. In fact, and this is another advantage, the tickets to get on this bus have a duration of 24 and 48 hours.

What this duration means is that, during this time, you have the opportunity to make use of this transport around the city, with the same ticket. This bus route is also advantageous, because it has a couple of lines that between the two of them, it picks up the places of major tourist and cultural interest of the city.

In just one stop, you can get off to visit one or a couple of important monuments in Verona. Another advantage of this tour is that, if you do not want or do not have time to get off at each of the stops to make a tour of each monument or place of interest, you can stay on board listening to the audio guide in English with all the information you need about these places.

How long is the complete tour of the tourist bus?

The truth is that getting on this free-stop bus is one of the best options you have if you visit Verona in two days, or simply have little time to get to know the city. This is because the ride lasts as long as you want it to last. At the very least, you will get on the bus for exactly one hour, going all over the city and not getting off until you get back to your starting point.

On the other hand, in case you want to get off and on multiple times to see each of the sights of the city, obviously the time it takes to complete the tour can be considerably longer. Each of the sights where the bus stops are worth visiting for at least half an hour, and the bus has a total of 16 stops.

The bus is intermittent for approximately 60 minutes, that is, every hour it passes through any of the stops. This time may be subject to certain variations whenever traffic on Veronese streets is lighter or heavier. In the afternoon hours, for example, it may take a little longer to complete the route because traffic increases.

The morning is the best time to get on the bus and enjoy both the view and the accurate commentary on the audio guide, because you will find less traffic on the street and also, you will have the opportunity to enjoy in a clearer and better light, each of the places you will pass through during the tour of the city.

It belonged to what is known as the Roman forum, with a large number of Roman buildings that were built around it and now no longer exist.
  • Piazza dei Signori: Also known as Dante's square, this place is quickly recognized by the statue of Dante that is located in the center of it.
