The Fort of St. Lawrence or Lovrjenac is one of the most popular for being a symbol of excellence for the city. It was also the setting for the Red Keep in the Game of Thrones series, so it is often included in Game of Thrones tours in Dubrovnik.

Please note that to get to the fort you have to climb at least 200 steps, but it will be worth it! You will be able to see the Bay of Pile and enjoy the beautiful scenery at sunset. Also, consider arriving on time as the entrance to the Fort of St. Lawrence is at the bottom of the stairs.

If you travel to Dubrovnik in June or in general in the summer months, you may be able to participate in the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which is held here every year. You can enjoy a variety of theatrical performances such as Hamlet which usually take place at sunset.

Dubrovnik' s cable car is one of the most beloved attractions for tourists- you can see the city from over 400 meters above the ground! In addition, during the summer months the cable car is open until midnight.

I recommend that you go up the cable car at sunset, because at that time you can appreciate the beautiful colors of the sky, it is quite a spectacle! If you are traveling as a couple it will be the perfect romantic date. Keep in mind that the last cable car ride leaves 30 minutes before closing time, which varies depending on the month.

Dubrovnik's Old Town is a place full of magic that you will surely love to visit at night. Although you can go at any time of the day when booking a Dubrovnik tour, at night you will have a totally different experience. You will be able to walk along its cobblestone streets illuminated by street lamps.

To begin with, it would be best to explore the city center passing through the Pile Gate located in the west of Dubrovnik. You will pass over the bridge that leads to the moat-turned-garden. You will also see a Renaissance-style arch: look closely at the top of the arch as there is a statue of the protector of the city, St. Blaise.

As you walk through the streets you will see important buildings such as the Dominican Monastery and the Dubrovnik Cathedral. No doubt this is an ideal activity if you are going to stay at least 2 days in Dubrovnik. To end the night you can decide whether to go to Stardun Street, where you will find many nightclubs, or spend the rest of the night in the Old Port admiring the sea.

Dubrovnik's Old Port is the symbol of the city. During the 15th and 16th centuries, Croatia had an important position in trade and received numerous merchant ships through this port. It was also one of the sites most affected by the bombardments of the Croatian War of Independence, which you can learn more about in its museum.

But this is not only a historical site for the city, but also one of the most romantic in the world. It has restaurants by the sea that allow you to have a beautiful romantic evening. You will also be able to see multiple fishing boats and, in the distance, the distant lights of the city.

Another reason why you should go to the Old Port at the end of the day is that it is close to other places of interest. These include the Dubrovnik Aquarium, the Polce Gate and the Dominican monastery.

Among the best things to do in a new city is to visit its pubs or nightclubs. This way you can get to know the customs of the locals, taste delicious drinks and traditional dishes. In short, spend an unforgettable night! For this I recommend you to choose a pub or plan a tour of several bars.

I recommend you to go to the bars that are inside the walls that enclose the historic center. Right in a labyrinth of narrow streets you will find multiple bars, discos and clubs that you should visit. Where you will find more variety is on the main street Stardun, such as the Irish Pub The Gaffe and the cocktail bar Stradoon.

Most bars close around one in the morning and while you enjoy the night you can stroll down the street and see some tourist spots like Orlando's Column. In this area you will also see several restaurants. Dine before drinking alcohol! This way you will avoid unwanted drunkenness.

8. Attend a concert at the Sponza Palace

The Sponza Palace is located at the end of Stradun Street. This site is also known as Divona and is characterized by an architectural style that mixes Gothic and Renaissance. The building that was built between 1516 and 1521 owes its name to the Italian word spongia.

In addition to offering shows, this site houses about 100 thousand documents, constituting the largest archive in the city. If you want to know more about the history of this building, you can visit it in the company of a professional guide who can give you a complete summary.

Among the best activities you can experience in Dubrovnik is booking a kayak tour in Dubrovnik. However, I recommend you to do it at sunset because from the sea you could admire the colors of the day as they fade and night falls.

If you don't know how to use a kayak, don't worry! The organizers of this kind of excursions will explain you all the details you need to know before you start. That's why I recommend you to be on time and ask all the necessary questions.

During the tour you can go to the Elafiti islands and then paddle around the island of Lokrum. There you can explore hidden caves before sunset to take advantage of the daylight. Afterwards you can take a break and watch the colors of the sky. You will paddle back to the mainland after dark.
