What to expect
Top of the Rock has become one of the most visited tourist spots in the Big Apple. The views offered by this observatory located at the top of Rockefeller Center attract thousands of visitors every day.
Before climbing to the top of the observatory, you can enjoy the magnitude of the buildings of Rockefeller Center, enter the Channels Gardens, a true oasis full of water and art, or visit the central square where every Christmas the famous ice skating rink is installed.
When you arrive at the entrance of the Top of the Rock, it will be impossible not to notice the large Swaroski chandelier that will greet you sparkling. You can also see the historic Rockefeller Center building where the famous photo of the workers sitting on a beam was taken.
Ascending to the top of the building is also part of the attraction of the experience. The Sky Shuttle elevators climb more than 200 meters in less than a minute, while a brief history of New York is projected on the walls. As soon as the elevator doors open, you'll understand why it's worth the climb.
A spectacular view of the city's most famous landmarks will open up before your eyes. You can explore the 3 floors with unobstructed indoor and outdoor views. From there you will be able to see such recognizable sites as the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty or Central Park.
Any time is a good time to climb to the top floors of the Comcast Building, formerly known as the General Electric Building, and stroll along its spacious terraces.
However, we recommend that if you want to visit at a specific time, stop by the ticket office in advance so you can reserve the time slot you like best. Popular times like sunset fill up quickly, so our suggestion is to exchange your tickets at the Top of the Rock box office as soon as possible.
