Step by Step

From the urban chaos of New York to the hypnotic roar of Niagara Falls, this 19-hour tour promises postcard-perfect scenery and unforgettable moments. With an expert guide at your side, you'll take in the most breathtaking viewpoints and, if it's in season and you choose the full option, you'll feel the water up close on the legendary Maid of the Mist cruise. Ready to experience it? Here's what your day will be like.

1. Before the city wakes up: departure from New York City

The day starts in the early hours of the morning. At around 4:00 AM, the bus will pick you up in Manhattan to take you away from the skyscrapers and the hustle and bustle of the city. During the 7-8 hour drive, your guide will share trivia about Niagara Falls and its history, setting the stage for the experience ahead. It's the perfect trip to unwind, enjoy the scenery and recharge your batteries before the big moment.

2. Arrival at Niagara Falls: nature at its finest

The roar of the water will welcome you to Niagara Falls State Park, a spectacle that needs no introduction. Here you'll see the three mighty waterfalls:

  • Horseshoe Falls: the largest and most iconic, forming a perfect horseshoe that links the United States and Canada.
  • American Falls: A breathtaking torrent that unfolds in full force on the American side.
  • Bridal Veil Falls: Small but magical, with a veil of water that enchants every visitor.

Your guide will take you to key vantage points to view them from the best angles, such as Terrapin Point and Goat Island. You'll also hear fascinating stories about the formation of the falls and the legends surrounding them.

3. Options to experience the falls up close

If you book the full experience and as long as it operates (usually from May to October, depending on ice conditions), you'll board the famous Maid of the Mist, a cruise that will take you right into the heart of the falls. Get ready to feel the water on your skin as the mist envelops you and connects you with the pure force of nature.

If you didn't choose the cruise or you're in the off-season, your guide will lead you to other iconic viewpoints and scenic trails, so you can explore the area at your own pace. From the balconies of the Prospect Point Observation Deck, you'll have spectacular views of the ceaseless flow.

When booking the non-cruise option you can also select an audio guide with extra information about the Falls. Languages are English, Spanish and Chinese.

4. Free time to explore at your leisure

After the guided tour, you will have some time to wander around on your own. Capture more photos, buy a souvenir or just sit back and take in the magnitude of this unique place. You can also take the opportunity to relax and grab a bite to eat at the nearby restaurants or take a stroll along the tranquil trails that border the falls.

5. Return to New York charged with Niagara magic

After a day full of excitement, it's time to head back to New York City, where you'll arrive around 11pm. During the journey, your guide will be on hand to answer questions or add more anecdotes to the trip. You will arrive back in New York in the evening, ready to rest and relive every moment of this unique experience in your mind.

Important note: Please note that the times in the itinerary are approximate. Activities are subject to weather conditions and seasonal factors, such as the presence of ice in Niagara Falls. Nature rules in this unique spectacle!
