Step by Step

Relive the era of Jack the Ripper and the exploits of detective Sherlock Holmes by joining this two-and-a-half hour bus and walking tour of London.

An expert guide will accompany you as you follow in the bloodthirsty footsteps of the 19th century's most notorious serial killer as you travel through the East End of the English capital, tracing the events that shocked the city around 1888.

By then, a string of atrocious murders shook the Whitechapel area of the East End, which went down in history for their gruesomeness: organs removed, throats slit and faces disfigured.

Although the perpetrator was never identified, he sent a letter signed "Jack the Ripper", earning him the nickname by which he is known.

The murders sparked the interest of popular culture and today it is one of the most striking attractions for tourists in London, which you can experience.

The tour, which takes place partly by open-top bus and partly on foot, will also take you to the placesin London that inspired the writer Arthur Conan Doyle to create his most famous novel character, the detective Sherlock Holmes.

You'll have the chance to have a pint of London in a Sherlock-themed pub, where you'll learn about his story as you see must-see, museum-like material for fans of the detective genre.

Wander through the stalls, cellars and tunnels of the iconic Smithfield Market, London's main urban meat supply centre.

You'll see the imposing St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and the Royal Courts of Justice, legendary and essential stops in the history of the English capital.

A tour quite different from the ones I'm used to do, it's nice to get out of the typical sightseeing tour of London.

The vehicles in which we were transported were very well maintained, the seats were spotlessly clean, the handrails were freshly painted and the bus in general was well maintained with a very good presentation.

We had a guide who took us deep into London's past, he managed to create such a good atmosphere that it almost felt like we were in a horror movie.
