Step by Step

The London City Sightseeing bus tour is one of the most comfortable, safe and comprehensive ways to see the UK's capital city. You will have the opportunity to tour the city in an open-top double-decker bus and complement your tour on foot.

You will be able to create your own exclusive and personalised plan of visits to the places and monuments of your choice, getting off the bus whenever and wherever you want, as often as you like. This gives you full freedom to discover the wonders of the city at your own pace.

In addition to the bus tour and the opportunity to explore the city on foot, you'll enjoy a cruise on the River Thames, where you'll get the most beautiful panoramic views of Big Ben, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, among other must-see sites and monuments. This boat tour is available if you choose the 24 or 48 hour option.

Some of the most representative destinations covered are:

  • Tower Hill: this iconic stop is home to the imposing Tower of London and St Katherine's and Tower Piers, from where you can board your Thames cruise.
  • Buckingham Gate: cross this bridge to reach the historic Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the King of England. You can also visit the royal park St. James Park.
  • Trafalgar Square: visit one of the most beautiful squares in London that honours the Battle of Trafalgar, a historical episode in the city that marked the success of the British army.
  • Hyde Park: you can't leave the city without first strolling through the most magnificent royal park of all, Hyde Park. Your stop is at Queen Elizabeth Gate
  • Haymarket: take a photo at Piccadilly Circus, one of the most famous streets and intersections in the West End that you're sure to have seen in a film.
  • London Eye: see the giant, postcard-perfect London Ferris wheel on the banks of the Thames in the Southbank area.

You have three options for your ticket : a 24-hour bus, boat and walking tour; a 48-hour tour with the same plan; and a 24-hour non-stop bus-only tour, the ideal alternative for a whirlwind tour of London in one day.

The 24-hour ticket includes the Royal London audio tour, which will take you around the sites and monuments of the British royals. The 48-hour ticket includes, in addition to Royal London, audio-guided tours of Southbank, Covent Garden, Borough Market and Nothing Hill.

There are a total of 20 stops along the Red Route, which you can access from Monday to Sunday, from 9am to 5pm. When you get off at your chosen locations, you can catch the next bus at designated stops approximately every 10-20 minutes.

Very good service and without haste you can get to know London to the particular taste of the group. The only thing was that it was not a very warm day and I had to stay upstairs at one point because of the amount of people who had already boarded the bus. I still took the opportunity to take some nice pictures of the city.

The system to get to know London is good, in one day you can visit the most important places. I recommend not to go during rush hour because it tends to fill up and then you can't get a place at the top which is the most beautiful thing, but in general it is very good.
