On weekends the museum opens its doors wide open to welcome all visitors and tourists who will be convinced that this is one of the 10 best museums in Malaga.

Contrary to what you may believe, this museum does not distinguish between Saturdays, Sundays or any day of the working week. On weekends it operates on the same regular schedule as the rest of the days.

What you should consider if you want to visit the museum on the weekend, is the amount of people you can get inside the place. Generally the weekend is when the museum is most crowded.

If you want to visit the museum on the weekend, I recommend that you arrive early to get in at opening time to avoid the amount of people that arrive to visit the museum after noon.

The best time to visit the Picasso Museum is undoubtedly in low season, when the number of visitors in Malaga is considerably lower than at other times of the year. The low season is from October to March, so this is a good time both to visit the city and to go to the museum.

Although a disadvantage of visiting the museum in low season is that the exhibits tend to become a bit sparser, but in case you have never visited the place and want to experience some of the top 10 activities to do in Malaga, this is a good option to start getting to know the city of museums.

In my experience, whenever you have time to include the Picasso Museum in your list of things to do in Malaga, you have to make sure you have time to visit it, no matter what time of the year you visit the city.
