Step by Step

After a 2-hour air-conditioned bus ride, you will arrive at Ventano del Diablo, a viewpoint over the gorges of the Júcar River where you can spot griffon vultures and other birds of prey.

Next, you will explore the Enchanted City, a karst landscape recognised as a Natural Site of National Interest. With your guide, you will walk along 2 km of paths among rock formations sculpted by water and wind, creating surprising figures that seem to be taken from a fairy tale.

After the visit, you will move to the Castle District of Cuenca, where you can have lunch at your leisure in one of its traditional restaurants while enjoying panoramic views. In the mid-afternoon, you'll start your guided tour of the medieval quarter, a 1.4 km downhill walk that will take you past the Plaza Mayor, the Gothic cathedral and the San Martín neighbourhood.

The finishing touch will be at the San Pablo Bridge, from where you'll see the Hanging Houses, an architectural icon of Cuenca. Near the José Luis Perales Auditorium, you'll get back on the bus to return to Madrid.

This tour has been designed by local experts so that you can make the most of every minute and feel at home in Cuenca, a destination that combines nature, history and gastronomy in an incomparable way.

Absolutely impressed with the beauty and history of Cuenca, although the bus ride was a bit long for my taste.
