Step by Step

This day trip to Ávila and Segovia from Madrid allows you to explore two World Heritage cities and journey through centuries of history in a single day. You’ll set off from the centre of Madrid in an air-conditioned coach and begin your tour in Segovia accompanied by a guide.

In Segovia, you’ll explore the historic centre, stroll through the old Jewish quarter and admire the exterior of the Cathedral before visiting the spectacular Alcázar of Segovia. This fortress, with its unmistakable fairytale silhouette, is one of the city’s most iconic monuments.

If you choose the option including lunch, you’ll enjoy a traditional meal in Segovia consisting of ‘judiones del Real Sitio’ with pork offal, Segovia-style roast suckling pig and Segovian punch with vanilla shortbread, served with bread, water and wine. If you prefer the option without lunch, you’ll continue the experience without this meal included.

You’ll then travel to Ávila, where you’ll take a guided tour of its historic centre, taking in Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces and medieval buildings. You’ll visit the Church of Santa Teresa and walk along the famous Walls of Ávila—one of Spain’s best-preserved medieval fortifications—before returning to Madrid.
