Step by Step

Within the walls of Savannah's American Prohibition Museum, the most iconic events of 1900, Prohibition, come to life. These museum tickets will take you on an experience that will take you back to the time when the "drinking problem" was pushed to the forefront of American politics.

Through immersive exhibits and state-of-the-art dioramas, you'll learn how Prohibition and Temperance shaped thought and culture for over two hundred years of American history. Take advantage of your approximately 2-hour visit to discover:

  • The true story of America's fight against alcohol.
  • The passage of the 18th Amendment and its impact on the nation
  • The consequences of thirteen years of Prohibition.

This is the first and only museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to Prohibition. Among the museum's key exhibits are:

  • A recreated 1918 street scene, setting the stage for in "Anywhere, USA."
  • Billy Sunday Carry Nation's Hatchetations and a bar demolished by his signature axe.
  • Lillian MN Stephens and Adolphus Busch facing off.
  • A low-lit Moonshine scene, hidden in the heart of America's wilderness.
  • A hidden gem of a speakeasy, serving authentic cocktails of the era.

The Speakeasy area, a period-style speakeasy, is restricted to those over 21 and a wristband is required to enter.
