Step by Step
This Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam tour starts with pick-up from selected hotels in Las Vegas and lasts about 12 hours. The tour takes place in a comfortable bus equipped with all the amenities and includes lunch and breakfast so you don't have to worry about anything.
During the tour you will have the opportunity to see man-made sites such as the Hoover Dam and natural wonders such as Lake Mead, the Mojave Desert, the Joshua Trees and the Grand Canyon itself .
The driver will explain everything you are going to see on the tour during the outward journey (approximately 3 hours) to make the most of your time. In addition, the panoramic screens on the bus are perfect for enjoying the scenery along the way.
The tour consists of several stops at the most emblematic places in the region. The most interesting are the following:
- Hoover Dam: an impressive work of engineering located on the course of the Colorado River, right on the border between Arizona and Nevada. An ideal place to take your first photographs.
- Joshua Tree Forest: the bus will pass through this yucca forest on its way to the Grand Canyon.
- Grand Canyon West: You will have 4 hours to explore this area at your own pace and choose from a range of activities available.
- Eagle Point: from this vantage point you will have the best views of the Grand Canyon. If you look closely, you will be able to see the eagles on the rocks that gave it its name.
- Guano Point : another place that offers spectacular views of the Grand Canyon. There used to be a guano mine here. Lunch is usually taken at this stop, just before heading back to Las Vegas.
This tour also offers a number of optional activities to choose from at the time of booking:
- Skywalk: this clear glass bridge is for the brave only. Next to it is a Native American settlement that you can visit if you are interested in history.
- Helicopter ride: Fly over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter.
- Colorado River Pontoon Tour: Take apontoon boat ride down the Colorado River to see the Canyon from below.
