Siena is beautiful... medieval city. It is possible to take a day trip from Florence, but don't take the bus. Siena is full of stores and restaurants. There are many tourists there. Piazza del Campo is a historic square...where several movies were filmed. There is the tower and the Palazzo Pubblico. It is worth the visit!!!

This was a trip we did for the mother-in-law. The history of Siena about the districts and the horse race is very interesting as well as the ancient architect half wrong. I loved the wine and food and our guide at the winery was excellent and personable. We ordered bottles to be shipped home to us in the US. Then we went to San Gimignano, again nice history and mid architect wrong. highly recommend this trip.

Our driver/guide picked us up at the hotel. His English was excellent and so was his knowledge of Siena and San Gimigiano. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at a lovely winery. The driver even stopped at the American cemetery just outside Florence, as we had expressed an interest in seeing it. It was an excellent tour
