Step by Step

This guided tour lasts in total about one and a half hours. This time includes the return journey to and from the catacombs on the outskirts of Rome and the tour along the catacombs which lasts approximately 45 minutes. As the tour is designed for a maximum of 15 people, all trips are conducted in an air-conditioned minibus for the comfort of the group.

Before you begin your underground adventure, you'll watch a 25-minute multimedia video about Ancient Rome to get you up to speed and enjoy the experience with more context.

The catacombs contain the history of the earliest Christian cemeteries, as well as their first place of worship. They were created in response to the shortage of land for the remains of the deceased. So during this visit you will be able to explore all the underground tunnels, and learn all the stories and anecdotes hidden in these places.

    I want to highlight the great job our guide did. A very patient person and passionate about his work, you could tell he liked what he was doing by the way he narrated the stories. Very good, I do not remember his name but I send him my congratulations for his incredible work.
