This Arlington National Cemetery tram tour will take you on a historical journey through the military culture of the United States, visiting the graves of soldiers who participated in wars and armed conflicts since the 19th century, buried in this space.
As you board the vehicle, you will learn about the history of the site from a professional guide in an exploration of approximately 30 minutes. You will be able to make free stops at the various memorial stations in the cemetery, including the following:
- President John F. Kennedy's Tomb: President Kennedy's remains are interred in this cemetery. In his honour, the Eternal Flame monument was created.
- Arboretum and Horticulture Memorial: amidst towering trees, ornamental plants and rolling green hills, this memorial pays tribute to the fallen soldiers of various wars.
- Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: in 2021 this monument, the most iconic in the cemetery, turned 100 years old. It is the grave of an unidentified soldier from the First World War.
In addition, you will pass the grand Women in Military Service for America Memorial, a beautiful hemicycle dedicated to the women who served in the United States armed forces.
