Step by Step

A tour to St. Augustine from Orlando will allow you to experience one of America's oldest cities at your leisure. Explore the city at your own pace, without the rigidity of a group tour, but with the convenience of round-trip transportation included.

You will arrive in San Agustin mid-morning and have free time to discover the city on your own. This will be the perfect opportunity to stroll through the cobblestone streets, discover the colonial architecture or visit historic monuments such as the Castillo de San Marcos.

You will have time to stroll along its iconic promenade with beautiful panoramic views of Matanzasa Bay. There you can also enjoy the local gastronomy, characterised by seafood, in one of its picturesque waterside restaurants.

To make the most of your day trip, you can add two different experiences, both lasting approximately 1.5 hours:

  • A sightseeing cruise which, narrated by the voice of the captain, will take you through the history of the area via Matanzas Bay.
  • A tram tour with free stops throughout the city, which you can take in its entirety or get on and off at different stops.
  • Access to the museum of pirates and treasures to continue to surprise and amuse you on the excursion.

You may also encounter costumed reenactors who tell the history of the area and give you an interactive experience in the Colonial Quarter. Don't forget to stroll down St. George's Street, where you can visit the traditional shops and pick up some souvenirs.

San Agustin is the most incredible museum city I have visited so far, it is amazing how such old houses can still be standing despite the years that have passed.

Slaughter Bay left me thinking a bit about what the people who lived here before had to go through.
