Visit the inside of Edinburgh Castle, Scotland's second most famous landmark, with this experience. For around an hour and a half you'll listen to a tour guide as you visit the various rooms of the castle.

Entrance to the castle is included in the tour so all you have to do is enjoy the tour. You will walk through different parts of the fortress, including three museums, two prisons and even a canine cemetery.

As for the history of the place, you won't be disappointed. As for its origins, there are records that there has been a fort on this site for over 3000 years. The castle itself was built in the 12th century, i.e. in the Middle Ages, which can be seen in its architecture.

The history however is not only structural as you will also learn about the kings and queens who have lived here. From David I, who was the first monarch of the castle, to other great kings such as James VI, who was born here.

    The guided tour was great, we learned quite a bit about the history of the castle and managed to take a lot of pictures for social media. It's a place I wouldn't visit twice, but it was nice to hear its history.
