Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your start time to ensure everything runs smoothly

Step by Step

The tour starts at a central location in Kraków, where you will meet your guide. After a brief introduction to the historical significance of Płaszów, you will travel by tram to the grounds of the former camp. The ticket is not included in the price, but you can buy it on the spot with the help of your guide. On arrival you will begin to feel the contrast between the modern city and the silence that dominates the site.

Once there, you will walk through the areas where the barracks, administrative offices, warehouses and spaces where forced labour was carried out. The guide will show you visible remains, commemorative plaques and explain how the camp functioned during World War II. The role of figures such as Amon Göth will also be discussed, as well as the impact on the Jewish population and prisoners of war.

It also includes a visit to the main memorial, a space designed to commemorate the victims. Although much of the original camp has been transformed or reduced to remnants, the tour allows visitors to imagine what it was: the roads, the structures, the administrative compound, and how it became a symbol of horror but also of remembrance.

It is an experience that not only informs but also moves. The silence, the open spaces and the absence of buildings are often part of the message, inviting you to reflect. Come prepared with comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes and some water, as the terrain can be uneven.
