Artis Royal Zoo was opened in 1838, making it the oldest zoo in the Netherlands, and one of the oldest in the world. As you stroll through the zoo you can see animals of all kinds. These include penguins, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, wolves and many others that you can see up close.

Throughout your visit you will also see cultural attractions. Starting with its own planetarium where you can watch projections that will make you learn about space.

    An ideal place to spend the day with the family. If you have the opportunity to go at some point do not hesitate, the atmosphere there is very nice and you can see a variety of animal species.
