It is a 1.5-kilometer labyrinth of caves that were also used as hideouts during the 17th century. Today, tourists can enjoy a tour of the caves, along the paved paths of Runaway Cave and the Green Grotto, including the subway lake used in the movie. Jamaica is home to 4 types of hummingbirds and three of these species live in the Rocklands Bird Sanctuary, among them the national bird of Jamaica: the robin hummingbird, known as Doctor Bird. In addition to these little guys, the sanctuary is home to parrots, Jamaican oropendolas, black-faced grassquits and 320 other species.

The birds here are exceptionally sociable and accustomed to human presence - some may even perch on your shoulder! To encourage them, the sanctuary provides some sort of incentive with which to feed them.
