What to expect
France is home to some of the most impressive Renaissance castles, which you will be able to visit thanks to this 1 day tour from Paris. During the whole tour you will be accompanied by a tour guide who will explain everything about the 3 castles you will visit on the excursion: Chenonceau, Chambord and Amboise.
However, not everything will be castles as you will also visit the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci and enjoy 3 traditional wine tastings of the area. In particular, you will visit the surroundings of the Loire River, which being about 200 km from Paris, the excursion also includes all the trips in an air-conditioned vehicle.
The castles you will visit are those of Chenonceau, Chambord and Amboise, all in Renaissance style.
In each of these castles something special stands out. Starting with the Château de Chambord which is the largest castle in the Loire Valley. Its exterior design leaves all visitors speechless for its immensity. In addition, in this castle you will have free time to explore it on your own once the guide has finished. On the other hand, the Castle of Chenonceau is known as 'Ladies Chateau', that is, women's castle. This nickname is due to the fact that powerful women were the ones who built it and therefore, their contributions can be seen in the interior decorations. Finally, there is the Château d'Amboise, one of the oldest castles in France.
However, the interesting visits do not end here as you will also take a guided tour, and access, to the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci. During the last 3 years of his life, this genius served the French king and resided in this region, contributing his great wisdom to several of the Loire's castles.
