Step by Step
The Florida Aquarium ranks among the most celebrated aquariums in the United States. Home to more than 9,000 animals spread across diverse habitats and interactive touch tanks, it offers an incredible opportunity to learn about each species' unique traits and behaviors. With skip-the-line access, you'll dive right into a memorable family day.
Beyond bypassing the entrance queues, your ticket grants you access to the 4D theater—featuring videos with spectacular special effects—and The Splash Pad, a fun outdoor play zone for kids. Here are some of the aquarium's standout attractions:
- Wetlands of Florida - Florida is famous for its wetlands, like the iconic Everglades. This exhibit showcases animals native to the state: roseate spoonbills, alligators, river otters, and more
- Coral Reef - A stunning slice of coral reef housed in a massive tank. Along with rays and sharks, you'll spot green moray eels hiding among the rocks—known for their sleek, conical bodies, mottled coloring, and powerful bite
- Journey to Madagascar - The African island is renowned for its endemic wildlife. Here you'll encounter not only aquatic species but also ring-tailed lemurs and tomato frogs, which secrete a sticky, toxic substance to ward off predators
- No Bone Zone - Dedicated to invertebrates, this area's star attraction is the giant green anemone. Though it looks like a plant, it's actually a carnivore that feeds on small fish
Plan on spending about 2 hours for a complete visit. If you're driving, there are several paid parking lots surrounding the aquarium.
