Step by Step

A few kilometres from Valencia lies the Albufera Natural Park, an area where nature and Valencian traditions remain very much alive. During this excursion, you’ll explore its landscapes of rice paddies, dunes and wetlands whilst discovering the ecological and cultural importance of one of the most iconic natural areas in the Valencian Community.

The route begins in El Saler, where you’ll learn about the dune system and the vegetation typical of this coastal area. You’ll then continue into the Albufera area accompanied by an official guide, who will explain the evolution of this landscape, its biodiversity and its close connection to the history of Valencia.

The next stop will be El Palmar, one of the villages most closely linked to the fishing and rice-growing traditions of the Albufera. You’ll stroll through its streets and discover the traditional Valencian ‘barracas’ – historic buildings that offer an insight into what life was like for the families who once lived in this area.

The highlight of the excursion is the boat trip across the lagoon. You’ll travel on an electric boat – silent and emission-free – perfect for enjoying the surroundings without disturbing the peace and quiet. You can choose the morning trip, which includes a light snack and a drink, or the afternoon trip, designed so you can enjoy the sunset over the waters of the Albufera.

The Albufera Park is very beautiful, I had chosen the night option and in the end it was a cloudy day. Then for the service and the scenery very nice, beautiful place.

Very nice experience. The service even includes a small boat ride. It was worth making the reservation in advance, it is quite crowded.
