Join this private tour where you will have the opportunity to visit the Alhambra and learn about the history and cultural importance of Andalusian folklore. For about 2 hours, you will be accompanied by an expert guide from whom you will learn all sorts of details about Flamenco and Cante Jondo .

These two arts have been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, and are two of the most internationally recognised Spanish arts.

Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the Alhambra, where you will pass by some of its most famous buildings, such as the Charles V Palace. You will also visit the Royal Baths of the Alhambra and the Plaza de los Aljibes, located in front of the palace.

In the Alhambra forest, you can stroll through the trees and appreciate the beauty of the natural environment of the surrounding vegetation. You will cross in front of the luxurious Alhambra Palace Hotel and arrive at the House-Museum of Manuel de Falla, an important Spanish composer of the 20th century.

The House-Museum was a small, picturesque and popular house, which served as a place of residence and work for the Spanish composer. Here you can learn about the life and work of Manuel de Falla, as well as enjoy the simplicity of the building and the beauty of its courtyards. It is an unmissable place without which it is impossible to understand the importance of Flamenco and Cante Jondo in Andalusian culture.

Flamenco is a traditional musical genre from Andalusia, especially from the areas of Cadiz and Seville. It is a genre that contains influences from the various peoples that have inhabited southern Spain over the centuries, such as the Muslims, the Castilians, the Sephardim and the Gypsies.

The cante jondo, on the other hand, is a type of tragic and dramatic flamenco through which the cantaor shows his lament through voice and interpretation.

During our tour we had a spectacular guide, her way of telling the history of flamenco and giving us a little bit of history about the Alhambra was extraordinary.

We took the guided tour and I was left wanting a little more. The price is a bit expensive, but it is worth it.
