Step by Step
Located on Montjuïc Mountain, the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum is an innovative space that combines technology, history and emotion. With your tickets you'll have access to a tour that covers everything from the most popular sports to lesser-known disciplines, both Olympic and non-Olympic: football, chess, canoeing, motorcycling, Formula 1, skiing and many more.
Through interactive screens and simulators, you can live unique experiences: run against Carl Lewis or Usain Bolt, swim like Mark Spitz or Michael Phelps, test your endurance in cycling or test the real weight lifted by the great weightlifting champions.
The museum also offers a permanent exhibition on Olympic cities, with a special focus on the mythical Barcelona 92 Games, considered the best in history. From memorabilia from the opening ceremony to the graphic archive with Cobi and Petra, this space is pure nostalgia and sporting pride.
In the Idols Space you will discover objects and anecdotes of the great legends of world sport: from the shoes of Michael Jordan and Pau Gasol to unforgettable milestones of Steffi Graff, Franz Beckenbauer and other stars. In addition, the Samaranch collection highlights the history of the Olympics in a way that has never been done before.
The museum also dedicates a special area to adapted sport for people with disabilities, with pieces as relevant as the first competitive wheelchair, an adapted sled or Goalball, football for blind people with sound balls. An essential look at inclusion in sport.
