Step by Step
Discover more than 11,000 marine animals and 450 different species of aquatic fauna thanks to these tickets to the spectacular Barcelona Aquarium. Get in without queuing up and make the most of your time.
This space, which has more than 25 years of history, houses 35 tanks full of marine life. The largest and most impressive of them all is the Oceanarium. It is 36 metres in diameter and 5 metres deep and contains nearly 4 million litres of water. Thanks to its 80-metre-long transparent tunnel, you can enjoy an underwater stroll while you contemplate species as diverse as sea bream, moray eels, sunfish, rays and sharks.
You can also observe the Mediterranean tank. The Barcelona Aquarium is the most important aquarium of its kind in the world. It is made up of 14 aquariums separated by characteristics: the Ebro delta, the Medes Islands, shallow algae, etc.
The two permanent exhibitions are also open to you. Planeta Aqua' is one of them. It is an experience that immerses you in the aquatic world and shows you the different creatures that have adapted to live in it: penguins, jellyfish, turtles, piranhas and countless other species.
For its part, 'Explora' will delight the youngest visitors. It is an interactive experience specially designed to introduce them to the marine world. The exhibition represents three environments of the Mediterranean coast: the marshes of the Ebro Delta, a corner of the Costa Brava and an underwater cave of the Medes Islands.
To be able to spend the whole day and not have to worry about bringing food, you can add a menu when you make your reservation. The adult menu has a choice of hamburger, pizza, salad or fish and chips. The children's menu includes a tasty hot dog. Drinks are included in both menus, so you'll just have to find time to stop for a bite to eat and continue exploring the aquarium.
