Experience Highlights

Discover the multicultural essence and postcard-perfect scenery of Mahé with a fully personalised 5-hour private tour. Aboard an air-conditioned vehicle and with a local driver-guide just for your group, you'll choose from white sandy beaches, palm forests and colourful Creole bazaars in Victoria.

The tour departs directly from your accommodation or the cruise port. You decide the itinerary: from a refreshing swim at Anse Intendance to a stroll through the historic Mission Lodge or a lunch of fish curry on banana leaves on a lookout overlooking the Indian Ocean.

  • Design your own day: beaches, viewpoints, botanical gardens or shopping.
  • Travel in comfort and safety: an official driver-guide and exclusive vehicle.
  • Make the most of your stopover or stay with flexible stops

Step by Step

Your driver-guide picks you up from your hotel or port at the time you specify. After a brief chat about your interests (nature, culture, gastronomy, photography...), a route map is proposed that you can adjust at any time.

  • North option: drive along the winding coastal road with stops at Beau Vallon, the Glacis viewpoint and the picturesque Victoria market, where tropical fruit and spice stalls perfume the atmosphere.
  • South option: head into the jungle on Capuchin Road, visit the historic ruins of Mission Lodge and finish with a snorkel at Anse Royale or a siesta under takamakas at Anse Intendance.

On either route you can stop at a coconut rum distillery, a vanilla and cinnamon spice garden, or a workshop of artisans carving coco-de-mer - the iconic symbol of the Seychelles. The guide recommends the best Creole takeaway for fish curry, banana ladob or papaya chutney.

Thanks to the private format, you can extend a stop on the beach if the tide is perfect, swap the snorkelling session for a visit to the Botanical Gardens or spend more time in the souvenir boutiques Made in Seychelles. At the end, return to your hotel or the cruise terminal with plenty of time to spare.
