Get to know an authentic Peruvian community with this approximately 3.5 hour tour of Lima's shantytown . Discover the other side of the city during this walking tour and in small groups of about 10 people explore the daily life of Lima's locals. Together with a professional guide you will learn about the main customs of the community and enjoy beautiful views of the city.
This tour will start with pick up from your hotel which is located in the areas of Miraflores, San Isidro and Barranco. Or if you prefer, head directly to the meeting point. You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and upon arrival you will have the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of a large part of Lima's population.
During this tour you will walk through the picturesque streets with your guide while listening to the history of the community, its customs and evolution. Meet some of the residents to learn more about their daily life and take a look at their typical houses while you spend some quality time with them.
Continue through the narrow streets until you reach the base of the hill and climb the famous "yellow stairs", from where you will enjoy incredible panoramic views of the Lurin Valley, the west coast and the great city of Lima.
