Step by Step

This excursion to San Miguel de Allende from Mexico City begins first thing in the morning, when you’ll set off from the centre of the capital towards the state of Guanajuato. During the journey, you’ll be able to admire the landscapes of central Mexico before arriving at one of the country’s most charming colonial cities.

Once there, you’ll take a guided tour lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes around some of its most iconic sites. You’ll visit the Parish Church of San Miguel Arcángel, the Jardín, the Church of San Francisco, the Casa de Allende and the Plaza Cívica, whilst learning about the city’s connection to the Mexican War of Independence and the figure of Ignacio Allende.

You’ll also visit the Handicrafts Market, where you’ll find traditional products made from materials such as papier-mâché, metal or blown glass. Its colourful façades, cobbled streets and historic architecture make a stroll through San Miguel de Allende one of the highlights of the excursion.

After the tour, you’ll have free time to continue exploring the city on your own, visit galleries, head to the viewpoint to take photos or sample the local cuisine. You can book the standard option and eat on your own, or choose the option that includes a packed lunch, which you’ll receive before boarding the coach. At the end of the day, you’ll return in comfort to Mexico City.

It is important to take into account that the trip is long, there is a lot of walking and you can see many places for great photos.
