Step by Step

As evening falls, golden light bathes the vineyards of the Alghero countryside, creating the perfect backdrop for this sunset wine tour. After meeting at the entrance of the Ledà d'Ittiri Wine Resort, you'll begin an educational walk through the rows of vines, where you'll learn about Sardinia's indigenous varieties, how climate and soil influence their aromas, and the cultivation techniques that set these wines apart.

The tour then moves on to the estate's centuries-old olive groves, where you will discover the production process of its extra virgin olive oil - a perfect pairing partner - and the importance of olive groves in the local landscape and agricultural culture.

As the sun sets, you'll arrive in the softly lit tasting room. Here, your host will pour five different wines - from a fresh white and a delicate rosé to a full-bodied red and the classic myrtle berry liqueur 'mirto' - interspersed with explanations of the winemaking process, tasting notes and pairing suggestions.

Each glass will be accompanied by a tasting plate with artisan cheeses, local cured meats, crispy bruschetta with olive oil and traditional Sardinian sweets, creating a "light dinner" that celebrates local gastronomy. As you enjoy your wines, you can ask any questions you wish about the viticulture and history of the estate.

You will close the evening gazing at the fiery horizon and breathing in the perfumed air of the vineyards, before returning together to the meeting point with a full heart and a grateful palate.
