More about: How to Visit World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris

If you've ever left the cinema thinking how much you'd love to stroll around Arendelle "for real", World of Frozen opens its doors on 29 March 2026 in the second Disneyland Paris park (the one without the castle), which will be renamed Disney Adventure World. That day will see the opening not only of this new area, but also of the large central lake and Adventure Way avenue, as part of an expansion that completely changes the experience of the park formerly known as Disney Studios.

This is not just "a piece of the park decorated with Frozen," but a scale recreation of the Kingdom of Arendelle, with a 36-metre snow-capped mountain, bay, castle, and port town. The idea is that you enter through the main avenue and feel like you are arriving in a living Nordic kingdom, with characters, music, and details accompanying you at every turn.

Where is World of Frozen, the new themed area at Disney?

Disneyland Paris consists of two theme parks. On the one hand, there is Disneyland Park, the "classic" castle park; on the other, there is Disney Adventure World, the former Walt Disney Studios Park, which is being transformed into a park of immersive "worlds".

Within this second park is World of Frozen, the new themed area dedicated to the Frozen universe, which joins other worlds such as Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar around the large central lake, Adventure Bay.

The area will be located at the back of the park, on the shores of Adventure Bay, connected to the entrance by the new Adventure Way avenue, a promenade with gardens, restaurants and family attractions leading to Arendelle.

In short: you will enter through the Disney Adventure World gate, walk along Adventure Way and, following the signs to World of Frozen, you will reach the entrance to Arendelle Bay, with the village and castle spread out around the fjord.

The heart of the area will be the harbour area facing the lake, where the village stands and, in the background, the castle and North Mountain with Elsa's Ice Palace. From the shore, you will have a direct view of Arendelle and the park's main lake, Adventure Bay, which will visually connect World of Frozen with the rest of the worlds of Disney Adventure World.

The streets will be inspired by traditional Scandinavian architecture and décor, with wooden facades, rosemaling floral motifs and cobbled squares. The area will include shops such as Arendelle Boutique and Fjord View Shop, designed to equip you with soft toys, clothing and exclusive merchandise from this new land.

The main attraction will be Frozen Ever After, a family boat ride that will take you through the North Mountain to Elsa's Ice Palace, with scenes and songs inspired by the films. There is no minimum height requirement for this attraction, which features a couple of gentle drops similar to those on Pirates of the Caribbean.

In addition, the area will feature a real encounter with the protagonists: Anna and Elsa will welcome visitors to their castle in a meet & greet experience designed for photos and quiet moments with the queens of Arendelle. Disney itself has also announced the presence of a "life-size" Olaf, thanks to new robotics, who will appear in the land to greet visitors.

World of Frozen will have its own daytime show on the fjord: A Celebration in Arendelle, a show featuring characters such as Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff, Viking boats, music and choreography designed to represent a grand celebration in the kingdom. It will be one of the main meeting points of the day within the area.

At night, the entire central lake area will take centre stage with "Disney Cascade of Lights", a new night-time show in Adventure Bay that will combine fountains, lights, projections, fireworks and hundreds of drones and synchronised water features. It is not exclusive to Frozen, but World of Frozen will be one of the best places to enjoy the atmosphere it creates across the lake.

How to get to Disneyland Paris

Getting there is easier than you think, so you have no excuse:

  • By train (RER A – the fastest option): the red line takes you from central Paris directly to the park entrance ( Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station) in about 40 minutes. Important! Make sure you board the train marked with that destination, as the line splits at the end. If you prefer to have everything organised, you can book a ticket to Disneyland Paris with train transfers included.
  • By bus (Magical Shuttle – ideal from the airport): this is the official bus that connects Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports directly to Disney Hotels and parks. If you are looking for something similar leaving from Paris city centre, there is an express bus to Disneyland Paris with tickets included. Please note: if you are flying to Paris-Beauvais (very common for low-cost flights), this service is not available and you will have to go to central Paris first.
  • By car: if you prefer to go at your own pace, the car park is huge, but be prepared to walk a little to the entrance. If you don't want to drive, you can always book a private transfer to Disneyland Paris from your accommodation.

Tips for getting the most out of your visit to Disneyland

If your priority is World of Frozen, start with the basics: book in advance and avoid the busiest days if you can (long weekends and French school holidays). Try to organise your visit to Disney Adventure World so that you can go to Frozen Ever After first thing in the morning or at a time when there are fewer queues, leaving time to return to the area at sunset, when the lighting on the lake changes the atmosphere.

Download the official Disneyland Paris app: there you'll find waiting times, show schedules, an interactive map and possible virtual queues or specific access systems for some experiences (such as meeting Anna and Elsa).

Plan with some structure, but leave gaps to stroll around, notice the details of Arendelle and combine your visit with other nearby attractions at Disney Adventure World. Ultimately, that's the beauty of World of Frozen: you don't just "see" it, you feel like you're inside the kingdom for a few hours. And if you're still deciding how to organise your days, you can always view all the tickets and combinations available for Disneyland Paris before making your choice.
