Step by Step

During this activity, you’ll have the opportunity , for approximately 1 hour, to explore Upper Antelope Canyon, one of the two sections of Antelope Canyon X. This canyon is one of the most significant geological formations in the United States and is characterised by its unique rock formations, which have been created as a result of erosion caused by the action of wind and water over the centuries.

Throughout the tour, you will explore the canyon whilst learning about its history and geology from your expert Navajo guide. The Navajo people are the original inhabitants of Antelope Canyon and currently live on the Navajo Nation, which spans parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

This Native American tribe has a history stretching back over 600 years and is known for its traditional crafts, as well as for its songs and dances associated with religious ceremonies. The Navajo are the only people authorised to act as guides in Antelope Canyon, so you’ll also gain a cultural insight from this experience.

As well as the breathtaking views, you’ll be able to take spectacular photos of the canyon, with the help of your guide, who will advise you on the best spots and angles to capture the beauty of the scenery with your camera.

You’ll take part in this activity in a small group of no more than 15 travellers, ensuring you enjoy a relaxed and intimate experience. The upper section of the canyon is only open between March and October, as for the rest of the year this part of the canyon floods due to torrential rain in the area.

If you have the chance to visit the canyon during the months when the upper section is open, do go and make the most of its trails and scenery, and take some spectacular photos that you can later show off to family and friends. It’s an activity brimming with nature and exploration, ideal for adventure lovers.

The guided tour was very good, although I would have liked the explanations to be a little more extensive. I have nothing to criticize about the place, it is extremely beautiful and impressive.
