Step by Step

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King.

Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.

Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the Castle with a free multimedia tour. From October to March, visitors can also walk through the sumptuous Semi-State Apartments, which served as the private rooms of George IV in the 19th century.
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. Seating approximately 800,it is located in the Lower Ward of the castle.
One of the most photographed examples of Georgian architecture in the city and one of only four bridges in the world to have shops across its full span on both sides, Pulteney Bridge was designed in 1769 by Robert Adam.
The Roman Baths, at the heart of the City of Bath World Heritage Site, consists of the remarkably preserved remains of one of the greatest religious spas of the ancient world. The city’s unique thermal springs rise in the site and the Baths still flow with natural hot water.(If you select include admission)
Bath Abbey is an Anglican parish church and former Benedictine monastery in Bath, Somerset, England.[3] Founded in the 7th century, it was reorganised in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries; major restoration work was carried out by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s. It is one of the largest examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West Country. The cathedral was consolidated to Wells Cathedral in 1539 after the abbey was dissolved in the Dissolution of the Monasteries, but the name of the diocese has remained unchanged.
Step back 5,000 years in time to prehistoric Britain as our guide helps bring the history of this fascinating monument to life. Who built Stonehenge? Why was it built? Discover the answer to these questions and the monument’s fascinating link to the Summer and Winter solstice. Come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and visit the world-class exhibition centre, with 250 ancient objects on display.

The tour to all 3 locations ran like clockwork. We managed to maximise the duration we had at the sights and move off punctually as a whole group. Great organisation, sharing of knowledge by tour guide Richard and good service by driver Alex too.

Our tour guide, Godfrey, and driver, Merik, did a very good job of making sure we got to each site with the information we needed. It was a very long day and all three sites are unique on their own -- the castle, Stonehenge, and Roman baths. We had just enough time to see what we came to see, but there was not much extra time. I would have another hour in Windsor since we were rushed through the castle and didn't get to see the town. Godfrey gave us a good briefing before we entered each site, but he could not go into any of the three stops and we relied on headsets and tour books. It is a long drive and a lot of miles, so it was essential to keep to the schedule. Godfrey and Merik did a great job keeping us on time and on schedule.

This is a great way to see a whole lot in one day - You'll get a good overview, and if you need more time in any of these places, you will be prepared for a return trip. Excellent guide and driver!!

The meeting point was easy to find, and our guide, Phil, was excellent, knowledgeable, and personable. Windsor Castle was a bit disappointing since photography in not allowed inside the castle or in St. George’s Chapel. The drives between Windsor and Stonehenge, and Stonehenge to Bath are long, and there is no time built-in to stop for lunch or dinner, so either bring your own food, or buy cold sandwiches at any of the three stops. Hot food and beverages are not permitted on the bus.
