Step by Step

The excursion departs from Valencia and heads into the province of Alicante to visit three towns that showcase very different facets of the Costa Blanca. Over the course of approximately nine hours, you’ll experience a blend of history, seascapes and some of the most recognisable spots along the Valencian coast.

One of the stops will be Villajoyosa, a town with a seafaring tradition famous for its colourful façades lining the seafront. During the visit, you’ll learn more about its history and the town’s close ties to both fishing and its renowned chocolate-making tradition.

The tour continues to Benidorm, where the skyline of towering buildings contrasts with the historic character of its old town. From the Balcón del Mediterráneo, you’ll be able to take in a sweeping panoramic view of the coastline and see some of the beaches and buildings that have made the city one of the most recognisable tourist destinations on the Spanish coast.

You’ll also visit Altea, known for its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets and Mediterranean atmosphere. Its old town invites you to explore it at a leisurely pace, discovering small squares, viewpoints and hidden corners from which to enjoy the sea views.

At the end of the day, you’ll return to Valencia having visited three very different destinations. This day trip allows you to experience some of the Costa Blanca’s most iconic landscapes and towns in a single day, without having to worry about driving or organising transport.

A great excursion to see the coast without hiring a car. There were times when the guide explained things and others when we were free to explore at our own pace, which for me was the perfect balance.

I’ll stick with Altea and its white-washed streets. The guide was friendly and the transport was clean. It’s a great day trip from Valencia.

A lovely, fairly relaxed day. The landscape changes a great deal from one place to another, which means the visit doesn’t feel repetitive.

The excursion is well organised. The only area for improvement would be to have more visible notices regarding the times of each stop, as some people returned late.
